That really helped me on what to do, my Replacement cover is probably in the Mail Box right now, now I know what to do. Ok, I did it, this Video was my Guide on how to accomplish this task. Thank you.
BILL C When it comes to foam repair we typically recommend professional help on installation but if you would like to email sales@leatherseats.com with photos we can take a look and point you in the right direction.
Memo Arellano It is a simple pneumatic stapler. Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon... They all have some pretty reasonably priced staplers. If you would like more information please feel free to email us at sales@leatherseats.com.
@@richierich4604 When I did mine I think I set it to around 70 psi. Probably varies between compressors slightly. Best to try a bit lower and turn it up if needed. You can easily pull them out pretty easily.
Do you have this leather upholstery in Titanium Leather? Do you have the foam as well? I have a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche with the GMC SLE interior package (D07)... same as in this video... just in Titanium Gray.
This video convinced me to purchase the replacement cover from you. I've done upholstery many times myself so I had no issue taking this on. Now I just need that stapler, I've been wanting one for other reasons, now I have one 👍 - thanks for this video, very informative and helpful.
How much do you charge to replace the leather on the 08 GMC Yukon. I bought the leather for it but don't have a pneumatic stapler to fasten the leather to the top itself.
I'm wanting to buy a pneumatic stapler to do this job. In a previous question about staple length you said to use 1/4 inch. All of the staplers I see use 1/2 in. to 1 1/2 in. staples in length. Any suggestions??? Thank you!
Traci M I just did a quick search on Amazon and found a few options for the 1/4in at a great price. You may want to also add the term "upholstery" in the search with "pneumatic stapler" as that might open up a few more options. Hopefully this helps, best of luck on the install! If you have any questions be sure to email/call us: 1-866-639-7328 or sales@leatherseats.com
Alex Villalobos I believe that is our Java but email sales@leatherseats.com and they can verify that. They will also be able to send you out some free leather samples to match up in your truck.
Do you also have any videos on, how to change the leather on the seats of a 2007-2014 Tahoes or Suburbans with captain's chairs in the 2nd row? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Codell Gayden We do not have a step by step video for the middle buckets however we do have several videos that show the installation process. The process concept is the same through out most installations however the anatomy is specific to each vehicle. If you have any questions about installation though, feel free to email sales@leatherseats.com.
JAMMIN DUDE! GREAT EXECUTION, GREAT VIDEO. I need a 4-seat reno done on my 2007 Chevy Avalanche. I want to go from the factory Plether to soft (real) leather. Can you advise?
Do you have a video or can you make one on hoe to change the top leather on the jumpseat of a second generation Silverado/sierra 2007 to 2014. The one with 2 cup holders and a cubby No lid.
germanlanderos60 Unfortunately we do not have a video covering that specifically. If you want to get a kit and bring your truck to us for installation we would love to make a video for you 😁
samalice smith Yes, the staples are what allow you to stretch the upholstery into place and keep it in the correct position. If you do not have a pneumatic upholstery stapler, we would recommend professional installation.
One more thing. The fabric rubbing the hinge after install will need to be stapled along the rub area then cover the staples with slick tape. This is how the original keeps from rubbing.
RICKY GRAY Not sure how this comment slipped through the cracks...This is all our own brand! Feel free to email sales@leatherseats.com or visit our website at www.leatherseats.com and we can get you more information about our products.
@@LeatherSeats Ok great thank you. What guage of stapler is it that you are using if dont mind me asking? But I received my new console cover several days ago and would to install it. Thank you for your help.
@@rickygray7767 No problem! I went back to our install bay to double check, the staples we used in this video are 1/4" in length, 3/8" crown, 22 ga. If you have any further questions on the installation feel free to shoot us an email to sales@leatherseats.com. Thanks for purchasing our console lid cover.
Great video. I'm not handy, so there's less than a 0% chance that I wouldn't screw it up. How much ballpark would you charge to do that for a customer including the piece of leather (Looks like $50-$75 for that on ebay).
BRIAN THOMPSON We used 1/4" staples which are just short enough to hold but not go all the way through. If you would feel comfortable using a slightly shorter staple that should be fine as well. It's all about measuring and using a staple length that can hold the leather in place.
+Dennis Riccio You probably shouldn't use a hand or electric stapler on a project like this. A pneumatic upholstery stapler will get you the most accurate placement and fitment. You can pick them up on Amazon for relatively cheap and it will well worth it.
Mario Cisneros The color on this console was our Java. It was selected to match an upholstery kit that we produced for the truck. It is not our official color recommendation for this vehicle so we would recommend getting free leather samples. You can call us at 1-866-639-7328 or email us at sales@leatherseats.com to request the free samples.
