I have a friend who had been asking if I could buy her a new laptop she needed for her job and training etc. We had talked about this for months in the past. Around February 2 years ago, I sent her money about N300K to buy the Laptop in Nigeria. After a few weeks, I noticed she did not talk about the Laptop again and didn't bring it up. I waited till about 2 weeks more and eventually asked her if she got the Laptop she wanted. She struggled to respond and eventually told me she gave the money to her church. I was so upset and angry but didn't show her how upset I got. I just told her that she is an adult and can make her decisions. And we left it at that. Would you believe that earlier this year, I was talking with her and one conversation led to the other and to my surprise, she asked me if I could send her some money to top what she has saved to buy a Laptop. She had already saved 30K up to that point. I did not know how and when I burst out with real anger and told her off. It was then I knew, what a mind job they do to them in all these churches. 😆😆😆😆

I know there are situations in the Old Testament where people gave or sacrificed what they had and were blessed materially but giving in the New Testament is totally different. People gave to support the church community. And when I say the church, I mean **everyone** in it, not the leaders alone. There was no greed. Jesus never promised **material** wealth as a reward for giving and none of the apostles ever promised **material** wealth as a reward for giving. They didn’t give for earthly rewards or even healing. If you need something, Jesus said “ask”; that is all.

If people want to go to church that’s fine.....but I personally wouldn’t go anywhere near a woman that was into the church it’s just not my thing. There is only room for 2 people in a marriage, as soon as you bring in a third entity that is not unifying to the marriage you are doomed. I read of an African pentecostal church here in the UK 🇬🇧 where the congregation bought a Range rover for their "pastor and pastor mrs" and have put themselves(church members) on direct debit to be billed every month to pay for the car.I can easily bet 3/4 of these church members drive bangers(very old beat up cars) or no car at all and do all the hectic jobs out there ,maybe even 2 to 3 jobs,don't sleep well or even feed well or live well but at willing to pay money every month for a luxury car for their nonsense "pastor "....honestly Africans need to change this ridiculous mindset inorder to progress.Why not pay in that money into ones savings account every month or even pay for a life insurance monthly??
