That was a great explanation and totally make sense. Even forward mode can be frustrating until you get your head wrapped around how the beams work. Great job of explaining things.
Thank you brother
Thanks for your time, again. I made my own bracket because i needed more down angle for smallies on humps. Love your videos!
Very cool bud
My new #1 source for my Garmin electronics 👍
Nice 👍
you did a great job explaining that
Anoher informative video…keep it up..Love the channel and the info.!
Thanks Alf
Makes perfect sense to me, I think it's was explained well. Doesn't seem difficult to understand. When I finally get my ultra & lvs34 I'll b good to go
Thanks mac
Awesome help ... I’m on it ... thank you 👍🎣
Get on it. Lol
Man I've learned so much watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to do them. Much appreciated!
Thanks bud
I like your flash light explanation better 'from a previous video ,easier to grasp your concept that way for me .stay safe and FISH-ON MICK N FL.
Ten fo
Legit. Good video!
Thanks bud
Great explanation. Thank you
Thanks
Makes a lot of sense! Thanks
Thanks bill
Well done!
Thanks John
Jay Livesay for the win! Congrats on 9K and soon 10K
Lee
Great job-I used to teach science and First thing I thought of was it’s kind of like looking thru binoculars while at a football game and you are in the back row of the stadium. The top of your field of view is like the top of the beam likewise the bottom. If you are looking at the football field you can’t see the fans below you.
Good analogy
Very well explained
Thanks bud
great content ...very cool
Thanks Kev
Grate video just subscribed won’t to see more thinks 👍🏻
Thanks john
I am starting to learn it thank
You got this
After watching you play with this view. I tried it yesterday. I had my gain up to 72 and got a good view I think. Couldn’t really see my lure. Also the beam off my boat icon was pointing down, I think I had some trouble with my perspective mount. I have it on trolling motor and might play more. I like how you are explaining beam and distances. I may have to change my angle.
Angle is where it’s at
Good stuff.
Thanks robert
Was out this weekend after getting my 93uhd back. Your explanation is dead right on with what I was experimenting with on my local creek. You nailed it! Still struggling with seeing my bait. But I'm getting better. Ty for all you do, and congrats on the 9k. Let's get that 10k!!!!!
Thank you for watching.
Great explanation!! I see I have been not understanding the beam angles well enough.
Very important
Could you advise on the “perspective mount “ Garmin makes with regard to that beam angle? I have it on my boat. It is slightly down in relation to the TM. (Not 100% flat). Thanks for the video. Very helpful bud.
I changed mine to a summit fishing equipment mount because it so adjustable
In the first example, you’ll see that log on approach!
Thanks
Another good one, dude. Hard to get good information into a short time frame.
It’s tough
Thx. But can you explain the down view (mostly used for pelagic style). I hope to get the full picture then of how the LVS works underwater. Thx 🙏
I’ll try to film a video soon
Thanks for your videos. Have you used perspective mode to scan for high suspended fish in deep water? Deep enough to where you wouldn't see bottom like around 50' of water. I'm curious how well it will pick up fish and how far out you could see them.
Man I’m
Doing lots on deep water. Just gonna take a while
To sort thru it all
I use mine in 350fow in the great lakes for suspended rainbows I'm trolling so I'll put my trails on.I can see fish and bait balls quite frequently
@@markrochwite3630 that’s way deeper than my deep water. Lol
I’m unable to see my bait in the water the perspective trans I’d mounted on a Starbord brackket on the port side van that be on issue. Also how far down the TM shaft can the trans be mounted?
Seeing your bait in perspective mode is possible but very hard. That’s not what the mode is designed for. It’s designed for seeing cover and structure
Another question by the way: In Germany we are still waitig for the LVS34. You can only buy the complete set. How is the situation in other parts of the world. Pleas tell me. Thanks
Just as bad or worse. We can’t get hardly any
Would you use perspective mode for trolling in relatively shallow water?
I used it yesterday to search for large schools of crappie and thin pin pointed them in with forward
With 2 transducers can you eliminate the zones outside the beams?
Interesting question explain more bud.
Can you show a picture set up of transducer in perspective mode? Have a 126sv with lvs34

Buenas noches desde España .
Muy buenos videos y tutoriales
te suplico que pongas en sustitutos en Español ,para poder entenderlo muchas gracias . Sería de gran alluda para todos los españoles
Gracias
Works best also fishing shallow to deep as tio the beam. That way you see most of the ground and fish
Good info
I catfish so which one is best?
I would think forward for catfish.
How do set the distance on perspective mode. Thanks.
Depends on your unit but pushing menu will bring it up on the top right of the screen.
@@The_Garmin_Guru Thanks, I wasn’t aware it could be set on perspective.
@@theman8239 yes sir. On forward you can adjust forward and depth. On perspective you can only adjust forward distance which controls how big it shows on the screen.
This particular statement doesn’t seem correct. See 5:14 in the video. You say that extending the forward distance from 30 to 60 feet with fill some of the bottom void on bottom near the bow of the boat. THANKS TO YOU I am learning a great deal about LS, but I can’t see how extending the forward distance will change the angle of the beam.
Far be it from me to criticize you, just trying to understand. We’re both Louisiana Boz…
I listen to you almost as much as red print in the bible. LOL
Dan Ayo
Thibodaux, LA
The void remains the same but how much of the screen it takes up will decrease. Does that make sense bud
@@The_Garmin_Guru Can’t wrap my head around that. I didn’t think the void below the boat would be displayed on the screen at any distance. As we speak I am making a 1/4 plywood replica of the 135 x 20 degree beam. I think this will help me to better visualize the beam. The beam should remain the same no matter how it is orientated.
I’ve learned the bulk of what I know about LS from you. Have you quit charging for your Master Class? I see it posted on UA-cam.
I can’t thank you enough…
Danny
By the way -
Just installed the Fishing Specialty mount on my transducer pole. Haven’t gotten to use it yet, but it looks excellent.
I re-watched this video. I now get your statement that the void will take up less of the screen because the display is now set to a distance of 60’. Same void, just takes up less screen space now.
Thanks for the help, Randy.
Think of the beam as a pair of binoculars. You ca. Only see what u aim at. If its not in the field of vision you ainy gunna see it.
I have a pretty good understanding but that might help a few people
@Garmin Guru: All Things Livescope And Fishing ya, it's how I got my friend to understand. Hopefully, it helps some other folks. Your explanation is 👌. Now, if only garmin would make a unit that's 360 with a down image, they would be the king, or hell at least let us link them up in series to create our own custom angles. 3 of those units arrayed to look out in a circle and one pointing down and voila. I'd have to take a second mortgage out tho 🤣.
