One of the worst parts of live scope is missing all the scenery while fishing. Catching fish is fun and all but there is much more to fishing than just fish. Sometimes you're so deep into the forward facing sonar you have to look up to see where you even are. Going outside to play with a computer all day defeats the purpose of going outside. I have a great live scope set up and I often consider selling it because it honestly changes the whole experience. Also feels dirty holding a nice fish for a picture or video and the live scope is there. Everyone is free to do what they like and I'm not talking down to the live scope guys but for me it's just not the same.
9:17 I disagree I think this tech peoples knowledge and “instincts” will be far greater than the old school guys because they are getting direct feedback instantly along with water temp time of day ect. That being said I do like the idea of having SOME tourneys as old school with only basic down sonar and that’s it. I want both cause it’s more exciting when they can show you want exactly they are doing like working a bait and seeing the strike.
There's been quite the stirring of controversy surrounding FFS. The tech is cool, however this is a slippery slope. What's next? Mixed reality glasses? AI positioning the boat, and making lure suggestions?
BASS had Megabucks back in the day. Completely different rules. Can’t see them completely banning it. But they could limit the number of electronics and they could ban it in some tournaments. Or half the tournaments.
@@timg185 well they banned the Alabama Rig because certain people were winning on it and they deemed it unfair, even though everyone had access. I find it funny that a single lure could cause such of an advantage but real time sonar where you can watch the fish isn’t.
@@JohnDentonOutdoors that’s up to the tournament organization. I think they banned the a rig because it had multiple lures and hooks. They didn’t like that that was the only bait you needed for a while. It is kind of the same with FFS. Every tournament is being won with it . They also have to fill more hours of content because of live coverage. So they probably like more fish catches because of FFS. It also remains to be seen if shallow fishing improves because of more pressure of shore. A lot of the bass have seemed to move out into open water to avoid fishing pressure. If the shallow bite gets better. Then we will see shallow water guys not scoping doing better. I thought Lake Fork was really good. There were more guys not relying on sonar as much. There were also guys using jigs and jerkbaits. Not just a jig and minnow. It was a better mix of old school and new school . Some of the guys moved shallow the last two days as the fish moved. If we had more tournaments like that . There would be less controversy .
Angler? That's a broad definition now. What would the weights have been on Forknwithout FFS. Love how the commentors have had to buy into FFS to keep there jobs.gonna let the lazy youth dictate the industry. Sad sad sad.

I do agree with your statement about depending on the fishery.
Maybe one day of live scope per tournament . Do you do it on day 1 or day four.
They actually understand what the fish are doing more than they did before. In the past we were kind of guessing .
Perspective has been around since live scope. But people are just seeing the value. Because they were mostly focused on forward mode.

Perspective is still shoot that same be width just side was. So think of it like a 60 degree angle going out.

Just fish in bass pros tank at that point Geezus
He needs some serious rework of his battery and wiring. 11.3v is not good
Do away with it it's bullshit to fish like that
They’ve been doing this for a while now believe it not. Just don’t see a lot of videos on it for obvious reasons.
I think it’s going to far. I’d like to see a series come out that do not allow this stuff.

This has been going on for over a year😂 some guys 2 years
Watching a pro stare at a screen makes watching paint dry sound exciting. What a snooze fest.
Some of these guys are using FFS to snag fish outside of the mouth.
Conservation departments should outlaw FFS . It is not a fair chase method and will destroy sport fish populations in our lakes.
As soon as you suggested eliminating FFS in certain fisheries is dumb and no longer watching your content
You’ll be back.
I would prefer they eliminate FFS in ALL fisheries. That's not fishing......it's no different than playing a video game.
