How to route wires from your engine to the cabin of your car truck or van. This is on my 2011 Gen3 Toyota Sienna, but the concept is the same for most cars. If you can find where the manufacturer routed their wires, you can try this same trick.

That's a pretty small gauge of wires to run to there. What are you using them for? I ran one 6 gauge positive wire for my inverter hook up. Then I get negative connection anywhere inside that I can hook it to the van's chassis. Great tips as always!😎👍

It is 8 gauge. Yes, I figured if I routed both, I could always use both wires in parallel and then ground to chassis if I ever needed to handle more current. Thanks!

Thank you so much for showing this. You actually poked a new hole in the gasket? Or went down the side of the gasket next to the wires? Since I have the same Toyota, I thought that was where the wires went through, but wasn't sure. 👍

What gage wire are you using? I want to give it a go wiring up a basic electrical system from the battery but also to have a leasure battery and a cut off so that I don't drain my actual car battery but will re power the leasure one while driving.

I am using 8Guage but it depends on what you will be using the wire for. This is from a solar battery tender so even 14g would have been fine for me. Just want to be able to charge too if I want to.

Pascal what guage of wire was that - i was told to use 6 gauge to my victron dc to dc charger its the 10-30 amp but i have a bluetti ac200p and they have a two prong aviation plug like a cigarette plug in and i need to solder it but its not easy to do so i gave up for now. Will try to catch a video to help me with it - the wire is very thick.

Most cig ports can't handle 30A. My wire is 8G which is kinda the minimum for 40A charging (IMO). 6G seems aggressive for 30A. But of course, bigger is better. Just hard to work with.

Well, unless you are routing it very long. Then 6G may be required. Haha
