Actually showing this guys strategy has given me free wins vs people that try this. I've learned that it's not worth the effort to prevent the tc drop. just have your villagers collect resources while they leave ten villagers garrisoned. the amount of resources they put into the tc, and idle villager time in the tc, gets you a barracks and a stable so you can send scouts to their eco. after that it's gg because you just rebuild your town centre somewhere else and they can't drop on you again because you have military to stop them.
God, that was painful to watch. I love watching when Rubenstock is doing it to pros as an underdog, but seeing more noobish players have to deal with the same strat is heartbreaking. Also never seen a player so intent to not use Feudal Age+ units.
I think that the best way to resist "You got douched" is to send villagers outside and far away from their main TC to collect wood and food somewhere he hasn't seen you...
i like that this option is in the game. like tower rushes and hoang style. more options are better and makes the game more colourfull. there are so many one trick ponys around 1100-1300 elo. from full stonewall to double castle drop, goths socotra mega lame and very weird ones. everything is there.
Yeah, this is what initially got me interested in the game. There's a meta, but almost every time I play I see someone try a "quirky" strategy, and they're completely viable. The game is very flexible and more proactive players get to decide the pace of the game but being proactive is always a risky proposition.
I'd think that massing military for the vill-fight after your tc goes down might be the way to go. The question is just - which military. Archers cost gold and wood - especially the latter is hard to get by. Scouts would be ideal costing only food - but they are not strong enough. M@A would probably be ideal - also for battering down walls. But they need the upgrade and gold ... Sick strategy. But probably less deadly with more scouting. Anyway, thanks for the YT-only content \o/ lots of great content on your channel these weeks!
I think it depends on the situation (obviously assuming you went up to Feudal before the original TC went down). Since you know wood is going to be at a premium when you get douched, you can just balance accordingly. Food tends to be much more difficult for me because every time you get douched you lose all your farms (and the associated wood). Therefore, I prefer to create units that don't cost food and save the food for villagers. Archers are really good in this situation, IMO, but even spears add bodies to the fight which can be important. I also mine stone and if it looks like I balanced poorly or I don't have to make new TCs for a while I just make towers on "shared" resources and wall around them. If I get villagers out I might go to the opponents starting area and tower some of his resources. I'm at 1100 ELO though, so I'm not sure if this works consistently at higher levels. In my experience though, douching really puts the aggressive player at a disadvantage and if you just immediately abandon your TC and walk far enough they won't really be able to chase you down. Even if they do, you'll likely have localized villager advantage so you should win unless the opponent is vastly better at microing.
counter play is to actually make a couple scouts and go for counter attack. since the determining factor is the untouched economy of the doucher. you kill the vills there and you win the game
Hi guys, Personally speaking archers are pretty nice because u can fire through walls and cost no food(!), but if u can afford scouts to reach his base it's nice too (or if its socotra just use archers).
Dude triggered me more than I want to admit. I don't mind getting tc dropped, lamed, tower rushed but if someone drops an 11 or gg they're douching it up
Yeah, tower are the worst possible answer to TC dropping. They do close to no damage to TCs and Castle, and get shredded by TC and castle fire. Blue used all his economy into something useless.
@@AlayanT IMO towers can be useful, but blue didn't use them very well. It works better if you tower the resource points and then wall around the towers (although that map in particular was a little bit too compact I think). It's not like red would build a new TC just to take down a tower (if he did it would be a great trade for blue). Towers help you retain map control so you don't get completely kicked off from the starting area. Since red has most of his villagers in your base, it makes it very cumbersome for red to get resources. Is he supposed to walk the villagers back across the map just to mine some stone? In a scenario like this, towers can also contribute to making it much more difficult to wall you in, although it's probably not worth building towers for that singular purpose.

i think i won vs this guy once. What saved me is that it was valley and i had vils outside already taking the deer. Also i was going for a drush so i had some militia out already
T90 couldn't stop me from typing this comment!!! Owned! 13:55 kek
Maybe red was the kind of kid, that was douched pretty often in school.
I actually played with this guy just few days ago in a 2v2 team game. Not only he went with the douche, but he walled in the poor bastard too (edit: didn't get far enough to the video to see that he did that in this video too, so guess not so special from him after all), leaving the opponent's vills running around desperately while I came in with archers. To pour even more salt in the wounds, the opponent happened to get away with single vill, so in castle age he douched the same guy again. What a crazy bastard 11
Edit 2: Oh hey, that's me at 43:14 probably only time I'll be able to be featured in a T90 video
Lol. I believe I played against this guy in a team game in December 2019. So frustrating, lol.
Man how did Blue lose that first game? Just throwing away villagers left and right
40:55 "... its not worth whatever ELO i get" indeed, but if ELO is the TRUE goal youre doing it wrong. we are supposed to play for fun, not for ELO, even when we play for ELO 🙃
Waiting for the day this guy gets queued against Hoang.
I doubt he'll ever make it up high enough for that lol
Bravo to this player who has made it to the 1500s with this niche Strat!
youtube doing crazy aoe2 strats "Perfection"
Me doing it: Cavelier are good as koreans, right?
great content! It would be absolut crazy if all four players in team would use this strategy against enemies in such teamgame. that would be great to see
I've played AoE for many years, but never played it online against other people out of fear of running into people tc dropping me.
why give him even credit? lame strat, toxic behavior when loosing and ruining 7 people's game... amazing player.
Not worthy for the AOE2 community IMHO
Using building for map control is a huge part of what makes AoE2 so great. This guy just doesn't limit himself. He takes it to the logical extreme.
@@Superkuh2 I'm with you here ! Its essentially the same as a trush just absolutely committing 100% if it fails then you are as good as gone its a glass cannon strat
Started played AOE2 again after decades after watching your videos. First game I played - I Persian douched the opponent lol. Had no idea how to play or the Meta, but it worked like a charm
What a toxic player typing 11 and gg is so disrespectfull
Persians really need to have the TC HP bonus not take effect until feudal age
Srsly watching this guy win over and over again makes me sick. Its funny when you just watch the vid, but If you have been in these situations often enough you just feel Bad for the opponent
Blue: I'm not trapped in here with you, you're trapped in here with me...
Blue: Wait, I am trapped in here with you...
Dude probably had this happen to him once and that was the beginning of his villain arc.
42:48 just make him work for the gg :P
13:35 I'm not stuck in here with you you're stuck in here with me!
20:31
*T90:* "Guys... how did that Villager get there?"
*Villager:* "...sorry?"
If this new meta :( gonna be a pain in the ass if people start spamming it
I think if it became meta, people would quickly figure out how to counter it and then it wouldn’t be meta anymore.
@@RobotShield True but I doubt under 1000 elo players would be able to react to such a strat
@@zemnly probably, but then could 1000 elo players pull off this strat?
@@RobotShield Just happened to me today I'm 900 Elo lmaooooo I legit ragequit
@@zemnly sorry, at least it’s quick!
Can't wait to see more one day
This guy streams under the name TuckTV
A million dooche players were spawed after watching this video
What happens if you idle your whole eco and vil fight when you see the foundation?
Did anyone realized at minute 19:00 or so, where the vills where about to pass through the water but red just send 10 out his 11 vils back?
11 nvm, I paused, commented and then t90 realized
13:50 I'm saying I would cry and you can't stop me
For awhile I played with a guy who went for a Persian douche every game. After he knocked the first guy out, he'd delete his douche TC and go douche the next player. In a 2v2 game, I'd pick a tower rush civ and we'd hit the same player. In a 3v3 or 4v4, I'd send archers or scouts after the guy he hit. It was amazing; we almost never lost.
i wanne see this strat on a high level.. really cool 11
Blue didn’t played like a 1300 rated player, he was such a noob.
Which blue?
@@JesseLH88 1st game
Now I never want to reach 1300, so I never have to face this player
When I see this, it saddens me that tower rushes were nerfed so much. TC dropping is more viable these days than tower only strats.
Yes, all the defensive structures have been weakened a lot.
I want to see the games he looses so much! But in 1v1 not team games, please more t90! Cast him against a beast 1400 elo with good winrate
Legend of Walls + Rubenstock = this guy
I would like to see games where he lost, so we can learn how to defeat it. He obviously cannot beat 1400+ players consistently, so there has to be a way.
this guy doesnt deserve legend status
Would have been pog if he would have been ready with a vil to place a house where he knew the 3rd tc was going to go.
15 mins in and this video is already life changing
It is end of 2024 and I got douched today by the same guy, he even invites you to a clan if he wins 11. I guess in the first game blue did everything right until he didn't do military to defend and maybe do a tower to break the palisades and expand to other area
First game blue had it but they stopped creating vills and gathering food in favour of towers, knowing red had access to stone.
Recently had a teamgame 3 vs 3 where all enemies picked Persian and persian douched us. It’s so strange if you never played against it. messiest game I ever played :D
I would just alt 4. I'im close to 1300 rating. 80 ish elo away.
Earlier today I played vs this guy. I didnt even notice his name until I saw 15 vils TC dropping my base :'D What a game
Good way to introdouche himself
Strongest Man on Earth vs Weakest Man from Hell
Please continue with this crazy content. I relly hope Rubenstock or Jupe try this and send you the games.
does anyone know, can you fast castle earlier than a douche? like, for castle or seige defense, or does it just come too early?
No chance, on arena maybe you can pull of a 25-26pop fc on a decent level with a no bonus civ, the douche usually comes in at 16-20 pop
You´ll be ahead of douche 99%times that happens so yes. Just dont panic, rather build new tc than repair the original (it costs 1 stone but 4x more wood to full repair tc) and go to the castle age or go for scout/archers.. No one will ever do that on arena lol :D hideout maybe but arena no way.
It's a 'pain in the arse' strat, to be sure.... 😒👎 And the player themself may be a royal pain in the arse.....
But why can't experts in the game think of a way to deal with this approach? 😕
T90, you should see what your pals have to say on the matter! 😄👍
do you think sending the Skerms over to his unprotected home base would have been a better choice then getting them trapped again?
nice strategie. i want to see more. thx t90
Would this work?: You see TC being built so you build a barracks or two right next to it and load up 15 man-at-arms inside of it
although arson is castle age if you can fast-castle against tc-rush
no, simply no economy to afford
Great strat and obviously effective. Still, I don’t think I could stop myself from punching him in the face if I saw him in public
Lets Open a petition for not calling this player a legend. The 11 and the "gg" makes him a douche in its full meaning
we need to see a game of him vs Hoang
Hoang is high level enough he'd shred this guy.
This guy cannot beat 1400+ (otherwise he would be higher ELO...).
First game now started off so good, but then didn't keep his head.
