Saw this cast in June of 2024 at London West End and was absolutely blown away. The whole experience was transcendent and the performances were heart-wrenching and beautiful. I SOBBED at each unexpected interpretation of a difficult story. Brilliant, timely and painful.
This just reminded how stunning this production is Layton seems like he’s an absolute brilliant emcee and rhea looks great too
EVERYTHING! To fill that stage with such energy and visuals with relatively few people takes a whole lot of talent! Must be amazing in the theater!
3:52 loved when they held that pose and sang in unison. Breath control is great
Layton Williams you were born to play this part, absolutely stunning razor sharp performance - Kitkat Club bliss - pure magic! X
I hope Layton knows how loved he is. He’s fantastic x
Layton is thoroughly stunninginly fantastic as Emcee - this one song is the tip of the iceberg ⭐️
He’s amazing. I want him to come perform in NYC! I love Eddie Redmayne, but this performer is phenomenal!!!
Layton has really done the Emcee role a fantastic refresh!
You all smashed it ! Amazing ❤
The only song you can safely perform on a family stage haha
This event also included the audience being flipped off and candy store has some fowl lauguage in it so it's not really a family stage
They’ve done the titular song and don’t tell mama in previous years at WEL
Obsessed with Rhea! There have been certain Sally Bowles who, despite the actor being British, sound like they're putting on a really bad British accent and it badly grates on me but I love the way Rhea performs, manages to do the over the top theatrical top British without sounding annoying
Grotesque and Horrific are the only two words that could possibly describe this performance. They should call it the Hindenberg.
@user-tr8fs7lm8r spread love not hate, this was a great performance. No one is forcing you to watch the show 👍
Layton is excellent,so looking forward to seeing this in August.
just booked to see this incredible cast on 30 July excited is an understatement!🤩🎭
It's wonderful Best cast in a long time.
Me too !!!
Can’t wait to come back to see this again in December
Saw this cast and they are awesome
ICONS!!!
Love Layton and looking forward to seeing it in 2 weeks and a day from now.❤
The laid edges on Layton >>>
02:00 "thank you ryan"
I am loving this amazing 👏👏👏🙂❤️❤️
wilkommen my fav cabert song
I love that song too but it's probably the worst rendition I've ever heard.
Can’t wait to go see this cast 🖤
Rhea looks gorgeous as Sally Bowles omg
Layton was born for this role
❤❤❤❤
BRAVO
Wow 50 years later it's quite amazing very different take on sexuality but that's the way of the world these days I love it
What?
Layton is made for this role . Best emcee ever.
Lies!
you didnt see Mason I assume
@@rockyhrndzHater
Joel Gray will always have the crown as best Emcee I'm afraid.
Didn't see fra fee
Horrrrrriiiibllleeeeeeee!!!!!
wish Layton was in it on Broadway
Maybe someday! If they brought Eddie over from the West End production, it's definitely possible for them to do it again with Layton!
The artists are amazing, but I feel it too much histrionic with too much shout. The decadence and spirit of the show is there, but this version has lost elegance and subtlety.
It's grotesque. It reminds me of the Name Game scene in AHS Asylum but with less attractive people.
They were performing in the open air in Trafalgar square. I saw this production a week ago (sadly no Rhea but Nic as the alternate Sally was incredible). Layton was amazing as the Emcee, as was the whole cast.
When Eddie did it the number was creepy and amazing... this just was awkward
Listen he's incredible in this role, but it kind of misses the point of cabaret no? The story is about ignoring the nazi party until it's too late. If the MC is a black man that would just not happen, no? I'm willing to suspend my disbelief in the case that it's actually addressed by the show backstage but as far as I know everyone's acting like it has no impact on the story?? I really don't want to come off as a racist and I don't think it is to say this, but having the MC be a black man makes absolutely no sense in the context of 1930s Germany and the rise to power of hitlwr especially because in the show the MC becomes a victim of that as a shocking instance and if the MC is black it's just something waiting to happen, because camps imprisoned black people way quicker than gay or communist folks.
the emcee in this production is not really a person more a physical manifestation of the Kit Kat club / also twisted later but that gives away plot surfice to say it is not the same as the Alan Cumming version at all, also in terms of the historical context there absolutely were black and mixed race performers in pre war Berlin in the last twenties and early thirties when Cabaret is set / as the station became worse a seedy nightclub like the Kit Kat club would have been one of the few places they could have worked
Marvelous but I think Leyton is a bit too healthy and clean looking for the part.
it's Layton and I'm sure Eddie Redmayne is clean and healthy too?/ he really does get the most bizarre negative comments from people
La más desangelada versión que alguna vez haya visto...horrible.
litterally my favourite production and one of the best versions of this musicals, but this was awful don't know what accent that was but it certainly wasn't German or French or English...
wrong actor choice - does not suit this at all.
Thank you for finally saying it, just doesn't work
@@breebartkowiakovathey may not have been as common but this production isn't fully in the time period it's more like a night club that's kind of beyond time is retelling this story and they aren't racist (like you) so they would use whatever actors they please
He suits it just fine and I ,for one ,look forward to see him in 15 days. 🤷🏽♂️
Totally agree. This is just grotesque.
@@user-tr8fs7lm8r he's not as "grotesque" as Alan Cummings and Eddie redmayne and literally everyone else playing the emcee after the donmar wear house production
This LOOKS AWFUL!
I agree
@@t3ddibearagreed.
Its just clashing with your pearls 😂
No sé como seguirá la obra, pero es una deformación de lo original desde el punto de vista de la película,la coreo es la nada misma y el vestuario horrible.
