The Lost Battle - Transformers the Movie (1986)

- been wanting to do this for years.
using the animation from the commercials/adverts and some of my own. I have put together the 'lost sequence' from Transformers the Movie showing us what happened at the Ark during the battle of Autobot City.
this isn't literally a missing scene just a bit of fun.
like it and share it.
It would be so cool for them to release a new version with all the deleted scenes add in .
I'd like that but the problem with the Ultra Magnus Vs Devastator scene it breaks Optimus Prime march through the cons. I would propose to move the scene.
Move it to right before the ship lands since it's right after the Dinobots knock him through the wall anyway, I believe. On another note, the reason the other combiners weren't in the movie is because they didn't exist (hadn't been imported) when the movie was written. Why Omega and Skyfire weren't in it was probably licensing issues. Poor Buzzsaw just got left out
Yeah it doesn't have to be the exact same sequence just slightly altered to not disturb the Optimus Prime run.
Yeah that's true the other combiners weren't even a thing when the movie was being written, poor old skyfire clobbered with legal shenanigans and Buzzsaw (and by extension Reflector although he has a cameo) mandated to NOT be used.
Cool would be if Simon Furman write 300 pages long hardcover with Geoff Senior on art duty titled: TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE 40th ANNIVERSARY ADAPTATION with brand new and lost/cut scenes. Plus section with pin-ups by other Transformers artists and Senior himself. I'd gladly give a lot of money for that :)
@@teaandtoyswhat was their deal with always giving Buzzsaw a raw deal? I’m assuming it was bc he was the pack in cassette, so there was no reason to use him much from a (toy) marketing standpoint. Lame nonetheless, he’s my favorite cassette :/
Yup as much as I liked the movie, it always somewhat annoyed me that the Aerialbots, Stunticons, Combaticons and Protectobots etc. didn't make an appearance.
Production on the movie started before most of the new characters in season 2 were added. It wasn’t that they were left out, they hadn’t even been brought in yet when the movie was made.
@@Halloweendmthats valid but whats the excuse for leaving Omega Supreme outta the movie? He appears in season 2 opening theme so he was established character
@@eastcoastshine2009 Season 2 hadn’t even started when they began production on the movie, that’s why Devastator was the only combiner and no one tried to bring in Superion or Defensor. Yea, Omega got a lot of love in season 2, but they barely got early season 2 characters in it, like Perceptor, Blaster, the Coneheads and the Triple Changers. And they re-used some characters, like Hound and Sunstreaker helping Kip put up barricades around Lookout Mountain, yet both were seen following Prime out of his shuttle when it landed.
I don’t have all the answers and I’m 100% on board with you wishing that Omega and others could’ve been put in there! Heck, they could’ve made a full length movie just on the attack at Autobot City!
@@Halloweendm Omega appears in season 2 opening theme so it’s safe to conclude he was established at a simillar time frame as Astrotrain, Blaster, Perceptor, Thrust etc. …Which makes his exclusion from movie is very puzzling. Considering his imposing size (he actually looks much bigger than Devatstater , Superion and Menasor when he stood next to them) he woulda changed the tide of the Autobot city battle in a flash and woulda made more sense for Prime’s reinforcement than the mentally challenged Dinobots
@@eastcoastshine2009 You’re pushing for an argument that isn’t there. I gave my thoughts on the matter, you gave yours. I didn’t insist I was right. Maybe you’re right, if so, that’s fine too!
Either way, it’s a disappointment that more characters weren’t in the movie from season 2.
You've got to remember it was the 80s having a movie longer than 2 hours was unheard of there was no room whatsoever to include this many characters at once
I'm not defending it but I do understand it greatly
Nice stitching together of those commercials! Good to see them again.
Always thought that something like this happened when Megatron attacked Autobot city. Something had to kept the combiners Autobots from coming to reinforce UltraMagnus' forces when he asked Prime for help. It's likely that when Unicron showed up, the Decepticons on Earth used their spacebridge to return to Cybertron while this freed up the combiner Autobots to clean up what's left of Autobot city. Also IMO, Brawn must had still been alive&played possum until the Decepticons took off the shuttle when HotRod shot at it. He was the least damaged as he was only shot at the shoulder compared to everyone else was shot in the main body. It's likely that Megatron's plan is to kamikaze the shuttle at Autobot city but someone like Brawn steered it away and successfully crash landed it. Protectobot's First Aid had to triage a lot of the bots to sustain their sparks or at least put them in stasis lock so that they can be revived later. He likely had to do almost all of the work after UltraMagnus had left to Cybertron. Not sure why the fallen Autobots weren't transported to Teletran1 in the Ark so that they can be repaired as it was able to revive depowered and damaged bots after they had lost power to their spark after some millions of years. Other than Perceptor, no one else seems to had replaced Ratchet&WheelJack.
I am thinking about going to see Transformers One in September.
Choose your side Autobots or Decepticons
Die, Autobots!!

Me: Decepticons!
@@zshah3107 what
Yes they did the DVD is better than VHS.❤👏
I love the scene when Optimus arrives and tells the Dinobots to “destroy” Devastator. Like, he means business by giving that order. Don’t just try to stop Devastator, or have a fight with him. Actually take that mofo down this time! Too bad they pretty much got owned by him.
Yeah the result always seemed lack luster. Only Slag got a decent lick on him and then walked away and no Snarl was incredibly annoying.
@@teaandtoys The writers intentionally wrote for the Dinobots to fight Devastator one at a time. It was like, how in the heck, did the Dinobots never learn to actually attack him at once. Yet, they attacked Unicron at the same time.
Very well done! More than meets the eye indeed 🎉
CALLING ALL AUTOBOTS
fun edit! thanks! We never see Omega Supreme again do we? Is he one of those that supposedly died in that battle on earth?
No, Omega Supreme made one appearance in the Season Three episode "The Big Broadcast of 2006."
Thank you for the kind feedback, I did what I could with the limited animation available. As per baxman comment and he was also mentioned in another episode but I can't remember the episode title.
@@teaandtoys The episode he was mentioned in was Grimlock's New Brain.
This is cool - but who is the character at 0:09?
It is a generic mini-spy Transformer, this one was known as Mini-spy FX-1. Certain mini vehicle Transformers came with mini- spies. They never developed as actual characters.
In a way similar to how the small rubber decoy Transformers were with particular Transformers also.
Where did you get the sound effects?
i downloaded them from www.tfarchive.com/cartoons/sounds.php when they were available and have had them on my pc since
@@teaandtoys thank you
Tv ads 😂
Isn't this part of "Scramble City"?
no only animation (approx 90%) was taken from the commercials
Fotomontaggi?
Not sure if this translated correctly are you referring to the thumbnail picture?
