*Who thinks these are a great gamer?*
I actually played the Cleveland UHX Irons and loved them maybe 5 years ago.....I don't doubt those are extremely underrated....
Do you believe in 7-woods?
They look a fantastic set of irons with all the help I need
Back in the mid 90’s played Cleveland VAS irons! Great clubs!
Have the old model with the counter balanced shaft. The Pw if great. Enough weight for chipping out of thick rough. Way better than my G400s. Only thing I don't like is that I have a slow swing speed and find the does not get a lot height. The being said great club on par 3 into a strong wind. New model looks nice.
I just tested some and yes, they are very consistent on distance and flight. The blade length looks very inviting and easy to hit to my eye!
I love Cleveland. Usually a good value option.
They have a new Hy-wood 3+ and 4+ coming out in a couple weeks. The 3+ looks like a good option on tight driving holes. Might check one out this Spring. ⛳️
Great looking irons and like Wilson sensible prices. Will be testing these as they offer a massive price advantage.
Buying clubs based on looks is like betting the ponies by name.
The Cleveland UHX are amazing. A couple years old but still available new for $377 a set..I bought my dad and son a set! I love them
Good morning Alex. Nice video. You left out how strong the lofts are. I cant understand why manufactures keep doing that. I played Hogan Apex blades for years and think the pitching wedge was 47 or 48 degrees. Anyway, any chance of a review of the new Adams Idea irons. Haven''t seen them in person but they look great on UA-cam.
I own these irons, I was fit for them because I loved the look and wanted something forgiving. I’m a 16 handicapper and my previous irons were the Callaway Rogue ST which I loved but these irons are something else. To me they honestly are not big and they feel amazing. More people need to get these regardless of handicap. Great job Cleveland
I agree, Alex. I always said Mizuno clubs look so good is because they're clean, on coloring.
These look so much better than the previous model. For the price it’s a no brainer to try these. Great review 👍
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I’m looking for some new clubs, my titlelist dci golds are from a different century! lol Cleveland is looking really impressive 😊
I love an iron with a longer blade length believe thats what tiger likes as well in a iron.....only thing me snd woods have in common 😂 ,looks like a srixon zx5 to me more than a hot metal
I have the Wilson Dynapower irons and they are long but I don’t like seeing the back of the club. I ordered the XL’s with UST Helium shafts because I want to see if I can get more distance. Also I would love to see these clubs tested with a softer lower compression ball just to see if there is more height and distance. 🇺🇸
Waiting for the review on their Max series but aren't Dynapowers also like hybrid irons?
Hey Alex, love your videos! Have helped me with my Driver accuracy so much. I am looking for new irons, I am a 15 handicap working to get lower. When I look for forgiving irons nearly all are the main brands, Taylormade, Ping, Titleist, well you know the rest. Would you compare these Cleveland Zipcore XL irons to those?
yeah for sure
Still rocking my Cleveland CBX irons and I love them but damn these look so good
first visual was cleveland 588 tt irons
I have the Cleveland Launchers that you say, "Look cheap." I suppose that's a matter of opinion. I certainly don't think that. They play beautifully! I won't be replacing them anytime soon. In fact, I'd recommend them to someone who is trying to save some money by purchasing them on the secondary market where just about any clubs can be had at a substantial savings. Sure, they might be a year or two old, but often are in like new condition. Make sure you get them in the proper length, and an independent club builder/fitter can adjust them to your specifications.
I agree. I dont think they look cheap at all
I wish someone did a review on these hitting them out of the rough, because that's where I have always found such big clubheads lacking. It might be me, but with very big irons, I always have trouble getting through the rough.
Beautiful club. Alex, you're a smart young man, and yet you kept complaining about how large the club is. For you and more experienced golfers, who wouldn't be a "buyer" of a set like this, sure it's larger than you would like. But for a scrub like me, that larger size club, obviously, would give me more confidence.
I wish I had your swing! Keep'em coming!
Thanks so much!!
I have the Cleveland wedges and I love them. I'm going to order these irons in 2 weeks.
Well did you order them and how do you like them?
Excellent
What’s better these or the 430’s
great review what are your thoughts with the Stealth Irons vs these new Cleveland clubs ? cheers
I need to do a direct comparisons for sure!!
If you play well with the club, who cares what your handicap is,or how big or small the club is .The most important thing is that you play well with them.
I liked last years, almost bought them, instead I got the PXG 0211XCor2 6-GW with Cleveland hybrids 5,4,2, Cobra Fly Z Dr. I have the Halo set too! Does it still have the counter balance weights in the handle?
Yes it does
Yeah it does 🙌🏼
Great review, no mention of the price, but I believe they are considerably more expensive than the previous model at about £700. So are they such good value?
I didn’t think there was that much of a jump! Maybe not then!!
in Canada I can get last year\s for $799, vs $1199 for the 2024's. Alex do you you think they're worth the difference?
Hmmm i wouldn’t like to stay but it is a big jump
I think someone new to the game of golf would not give a rip about the size until they significantly improve as a player. My first set was a used GI set from Adam's and I felt like I could always make contact with them. Now I'm into a forged CB. Different irons for different parts of the golf journey. If these irons make it FUN for a newbie, they will stay in the sport and that's what Cleveland is great at. I'm glad this company is in the manufacturing mix, I think they fill an important gap in the market.
Yeah fair enough! Ah nice on the forged CB 🙌🏼
Cleveland please
I think they look great and heel to toe they look about the same as Ping G irons
you dont write down what club your using on the score card, so i think that i would definately use them
And , notice how they used the term mainframe and connected these to their Srixon family
I see they took the loft off the bottom is it still a hollow body iron ?
Yes!
Def not getting them for 399 or around that. New model is 599
Cleveland used to put out some great looking clubs. I don’t know what happened to this brand? This was the same brand that put out the CG1. What happened?
Srixon bought apparently
These Clevelands or Ping G430 sir?
looks much more like the Mizuno MX series irons IMO
I like game improvement irons. I have a set of Wilson Dynapowers. These Cleveland ones just look too wide for me it's off putting
Yep looks too big but I would love to see a review by size and forgiveness of the different brands
I love my Hot Metals, but for most golfers, myself included....if they took the $500 savings from these vs. the Hot Metals and spent that with a pro, I'm betting their game would improve more than just having the Mizunos. Thanks for all your content. BTW...the links to your clubs and clothing above are broken as of 5/7
thanks! love that. Oh damn i will sort that thank you
Looks like a old Cagayan
This is the best GI iron set of 2024.
They are actually £699, I paid £550 for JPX hot metal so no they are not good value
Ah okay! thanks for tuning in
The JPX HM are double the price in NZ haha.
Your a better than average golfer, these will be great for average Joe
They look better but the back of them still look like the bottom of a pontoon boat, but hey if they work, then I'd still give them a run for sure.
Almost half of this video was commenting on how this club looks and how it’s so much better looking than the old model. That’s excessive. A lot of us don’t care much how it looks. I don’t think the blue and black on last year‘s model looks inexpensive or cheap. I might prefer the new model’s looks slightly, but probably would not pay more than a $30 difference just based on looks.
Correct me if I missed it, but I also don’t believe you mentioned how these compared to last year’s Cleveland irons. If they’re pretty close in performance, the 2023 club would be the one to get as apparently Cleveland increased the price by a substantial amount (looks like around 40-50%) for this year’s clubs.
And speaking of that significant price increase, don’t you think that would be an important thing to check on and tell us when you are reviewing a club and stating that it’s inexpensive?
looks much better than previous models, but to compare to Mizuno....no
What handicap range for these clubs….🤷♂️ (10-15?)
Yeah!
According to Golf magazine they are $899.99. So maybe not such a bargain.
715.00 at PGA Super store.
I thought it looked more like Srixon ZX5 🤷♂️
For sure that is a great shout
Or ZX4 and I would like to see them together to get an idea of size
But it's as big as a hybrid?
looks like an old Mizuno T-Zoid...
I have the JPX and the reason I bought them was the feel and then I could throw a blanket over the first six or seven shots I hit.
JPX gets good reviews but not on feel
Will this “sandpaper” face abrasion wear off?
Good question
Its insane how much importance people put into the looks/appearance of their clubs. Youre smacking these in the dirt, its a tool. Get whatever works the best.
Look a bit long, heel to toe, for my eye. Im sure they are good though.
If they werent as big as they are, they would've be doing what they're doing.
Still not as cheap as Takomo 101’s and not as good!!!
We orderd 3 x sets of 101's, I couldnt figure them out and we got them put in the machine, None of the 3 x 7 irons were of the same measurements(angles) thats why you dont buy takomo 101's.. lmao
They're much better than Takoma's, Takoma's are cheap clubs.
Face is way to long
Are you steeling Alex Elliots content?
Haha this is my second channel 😍
Nah, this guy is a lot better and smarter than that Elliot fellow.
