The lady yelling needs to become a volunteer fireman since she seems to think she know more than they do! I know she was stressed & panicking, but seriously, she is not helping one bit! She doesn't know how a fire truck works, and she is causing more panic. They know what they are doing!

Submit an application to your local fire department and become a component of solution! I fully understand adrenaline excitement and hysteria....but none of these factors help the situation. Understand that the first arriving engine probably was focused on getting the apparatus in pump to fight the fire that was quickly evolving which takes a frew minutes to get out of pump prior to re-positioning!!! Considering what the fire department was immediately faced with KUDOS to both the guy who rescued the man and assisted and the firefighters who rescued and extinguished the fire!!!

A lot of training issues to be learned.
    1. Positioning of apparatus. You roll up, size up, rescues to be made, make way for a ladder company or Tower Ladder.
    2. Make your hose stretch, get water on the fire as soon as you can.
Took to long to determine, you had two three people to get off the roof!!

I'm firefighter going on 25 years and understand organized chaos but when you see a chief behind the wheel positioning the truck is not a good look for the department.
Even with organized chaos the chauffeur should know the truck gets the front of building.
As for the amount of smoke pushing hard and the grabs need to be done the department checked that fire considering the exposures they had from taking the whole block possibly.

These firefighters are a disaster. They don‘t even know what to do first when people are in great dangers situations. They only know their practiced procedures and if there is another situation, the firefighters are completely overwhelmed. A ladder pulls up and is not used and a firefighter is struggling on the roof to save two people. Catastrophic.

Seriously I'm just going to say... before you yell and scream at a fire scene.. please understand what these men & women are TRAINED TO DO!!!! They have thousands of hours in at actual fires, at training at their own fire house, taking their trucks out, and at the fire school. They know the moment they arrive on scene what they need to do to save the structure!!! The OOOH AHHH SQUAD as I call you all from the days I ran with the fire co & my husband was a firefighter- you are there watching 👀 criticizing and adding your 2cents believing you know better than these trained individuals what they should be doing, where a ladder should go, how fast they should go!!! How about this.. all of the residents saw the fire.. why not instead of watching it, clear your cars out of the way!!! I know there is an area up the street to park them until the fire is over. No one would mind that under the circumstances! The brick apartments!! Moving your cars makes valuable room for the firefighters to work.. but go AWAY FROM THE APROACHING trucks!!!
Yest again another great job by the minersville fire firefighters!!! And to mutual aid!! God bless you all! Glad everyone went home safe!! My thoughts and prayers are with those involved with the fire!

To who this video is recording . Everyone yelling does not help . Some people by that time have taken in enough smoke that they become very disoriented and scared shirtless .
Or would just rather die because of Some issue or reason going on in their lives . I commend the guy k. The roof because it shows he values others and while everyone had their phones out recording not one of you offered to lend a hand probably for every reason imaginable . So maybe the entire bunch of you yelling and videoing should use your spare time wisely and for the community and become a member of the local fire dept or maybe just stop by and ask about a tour of the apparatus , equipment and the building along with all the training those outstanding men and women have to go through to keep their skills sharp as a tack .

So if you ever see that, the heat coupled with attempting to get out will make you exhausted beyond belief. Lastly, this town looks like Reading, Allentown, and a couple of other twnsps., I do know that Minersville is a good department! Sometimes, circumstances don't always go in your favor, as you see here, improv was high and coordination was key

All that being said. I remember watching a terrible situation develop to set up the Ladder Tower on a street that didn't give the Truck Company the width necessary to rise the ladder!!!
This is my point..... That fire company has to be responsible for owning an ladder truck that DOESN'T require it to extend directly outwards.......

They wasted so much time trying to position apparatus that they forgot the most important thing in firefighting... putting water on the fire takes all those other problems away... the Ladder truck actually rear ended the engine! The driver of the engine has major issues. I know being a keyboard warrior is hack move, but watch this video and tell me it doesn't frustrate ever single firefighter watching it?!

Each and every one of them have a certain job to do once on scene. They are all volunteers and we are blessed in this county to have them all.

I live on the 400 block, and was amazed at the tenacity of our firefighters. I lost track of the number of times I saw them climb up the hill with air bottles, hoses, even EMS taking a firefighter by stretcher down the hill. All I could do was off bottled water to the guys near my house. God bless them all. Especially the man who climbed up to help his neighbors.
