I’m just reminded of that Pepsi iTunes promotion that had codes under the cap and people figured out if you tilted the bottle a specific way, you could read the code without needing to open the bottle.

I can't remember the name, but someone famous wrote the song in the 1950s, then Bobby Fuller Four did what's considered to be "the original" cover. The Clash is the most famous one though. If you google the song, your first result will almost definitely be The Clash's cover.

It has different guitar work, but the lyrics match the original, and the tempo is pretty similar to that of the biggest hit version, by Bobby Fuller (it was originally by the Crickets, post-Buddy Holly). Sorry guys, but the Clash version was not a big hit and is not nearly as well-known.
