@@crusadrian5010 By attacking her cooking, he's trying to attack traditional French cooking; that's a major fail, since she was the one who introduced French cuisine to America, and she had an impact on American cooking and awareness of fine cuisine that Ramsay can't hope to match. As to him being an asshole, yeah...it's just an act, for the show. I've read that in real life, in person, he's sort of a sweetheart, actually. And her burns were worse because she WAS attacking him as a person, and not his skill in the kitchen. Also, as a side note, I found this on Julia Child's Wikipedia page: "n 2000, Child received the French Legion of Honor (Légion d'honneur) and was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2000. She was awarded the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2003; she received honorary doctorates from Harvard University, Johnson & Wales University (1995), Smith College (her alma mater), Brown University (2000), and several other universities. In 2007, Child was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame." The page also goes into her career in the OSS (the predecessor of the CIA), and her rather impressive career with them. I have to say, this one is probably my favorite because it’s one of the few battles where it feels like both rappers are giving their A game. The lines in both verses on both sides are hilarious and the actors are so into their roles that it’s almost as if the actual people are the ones we’re watching. It is just one of the truly epic rap battles of history.
This is one of the few ERB's I can't stop watching or listening to as both parties went off, but I will say Julia Childs took this one. She had a fun, soft start before she gradually became ruthless and heated with her verses (her body language and motion accuented her music's build-off) I died at 2:05 when Julia looked at Gordon like, "You forgot your lines, bruh?" (Did he forget his lines or was that a reference to Hell's Kitchen?). "You're a namby, pamby, candy ass pansy, Gordon Ramsay." "You scream at women, but the fits that you're pitching, make *youuuuu* the pissiest bitch in the kitchen!" "I laugh and create, you berate and destroy, but fear my dear boy, is less scrumptous than joy."
It's a reference to Hell's Kitchen. Whenever something dramatic is about to happen, they make a break, often with the look of a piece of meat being turned or something similar. So it's not a question of Gordon forgetting his lines; it's more a recognition of how Hell's Kitchen often runs - and Julia Child is just confused at it.
MSP22 To me, her face is more like "Yeah? I'm waiting, you got something or no?" But I have to say that I agree, as much as I love Gordon Ramsay, Julia totally took it.
My old executive chef had a fellow student in culinary school who interned for Gordon Ramsey. Apparently the tough guy act is just that. Off screen he’s really nice to work for.
He has mellowed in recent years, but it is NOT an act. If anything he is much more censored on TV than in his actual restaurants. He is a really nice guy, but he demands perfection in the kitchen and is crazy when running a kitchen like most Michelin level chefs. Gordon's temper and outbursts were legendary FAR before he became a TV star. His old boss Marco used to use Ramsay to scare his employee's when they messed up because Gordon was so terrifying. He was making headlines in papers for being the toughest chef in the UK to work under years before he was on TV. Also every chef that has worked for him (not like the fake intern you are talking about) and every chef Gordon has worked under has said he is legit terrifying This is what the REAL Gordon is like in the kitchen and its far worse than on Hells Kitchen ua-cam.com/video/p1X11aLACso/v-deo.html
@@ben1ben2ben1 if you watch his shows you notice a trend. when he is working with kids and with untrained/inexperienced people, he's very supportive and calm with them. even when they mess up. because they are still learning and he is trying to teach them. but when he's doing shows with people who are supposed to be Professionals at cooking (whether trained chefs or people running restaurants), he gets more nitpicky and doesn't hold back when they make seriously boneheaded mistakes. because they *should* know better and often need a bit of harsh treatment and ego puncturing to get it through to them they made mistakes and need to fix it. his latter type of shows are the ones that got him his fame though. so that is the image people have of him.

Also, as a side note, I found this on Julia Child's Wikipedia page:
"n 2000, Child received the French Legion of Honor (Légion d'honneur) and was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2000. She was awarded the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2003; she received honorary doctorates from Harvard University, Johnson & Wales University (1995), Smith College (her alma mater), Brown University (2000), and several other universities. In 2007, Child was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame."
The page also goes into her career in the OSS (the predecessor of the CIA), and her rather impressive career with them. It's a good read, especially the part about the shark repellent.
@@arekpetrosian4965

I hate how short Gordon's first verse is compared to Julia's
This is one of the few ERB's I can't stop watching or listening to as both parties went off, but I will say Julia Childs took this one. She had a fun, soft start before she gradually became ruthless and heated with her verses (her body language and motion accuented her music's build-off) I died at 2:05 when Julia looked at Gordon like, "You forgot your lines, bruh?" (Did he forget his lines or was that a reference to Hell's Kitchen?).
"You're a namby, pamby, candy ass pansy, Gordon Ramsay."
"You scream at women, but the fits that you're pitching, make *youuuuu* the pissiest bitch in the kitchen!"
"I laugh and create, you berate and destroy, but fear my dear boy, is less scrumptous than joy."

After 8.5 years and countless replays, I must say that Julia Child's growing fury as the rap battle progresses will never cease to be funny to me.
Also every chef that has worked for him (not like the fake intern you are talking about) and every chef Gordon has worked under has said he is legit terrifying
This is what the REAL Gordon is like in the kitchen and its far worse than on Hells Kitchen ua-cam.com/video/p1X11aLACso/v-deo.html
