Lovely straight 6 PD injection sound at the start
Oh yessss! My first impressions of UK started in that bus. At Gatwick airport on National Express. Back in 2006 i was impressed a lot, automatic trunk, design, level of comfort and sound that produced by automatic gearbox. Thanx for bringing back memories)))
Glad you enjoyed
Gotta love a K114. Never heard a bad thing about em!
Although brief I enjoyed my drive, modern motors may have higher outputs, whizzy buttons and wireless nonsense but I'd far sooner drive an older vehicle everyday.
Need more pov of coaches hardly anyone does it apart from chandler's coaches James Underwood channel
We only operated 3 types of coaches here so that is the fleet spoken for I am afraid.
Although I am open to driving vehicles with permission for documentary purposes.
Fun fact: the k114 in brazil only had two units,1 is an Paradiso g6 1200 sold to an branch called 1001,and the other was an busscar jumbuss 360 sold to gontijo, only the first is still strong and in good use in fabricio turismo, the other caught on fire which was in ESA transports and it was an complete loss.
Interesting trivia thank you
Brilliant mate its the voice that makes the post makes the view interesting love it .
Thank you, I say what I see. Got a Zoom H6 recently so hope to up the quality of commentary
very nice i like old scania
Mmm, very different to modern vehicles in how it drives. Got a lot of time for older motors
@@wheelerd02 yeah
yeah
me too
Legendary Scania this can last a million kilometers i love irizars especially scania
"Kings of The Road"
@@wheelerd02 yeah
Nice
Thanks
GJP remember cleaning it out when coach hire started coming back
A fine vehicle. Many miles & stories to tell but a decent steer
has great sound
Part of the reason I was keen to drive it. Do like a clattery old diesel
@@wheelerd02 yeah
@@wheelerd02 old school diesel sounds so much better than the new common rail that sounds like petrol motorcycles
Nice one mate
Thank you
you can also find Volvo Irizar Mercedes Irizar and MAN irizar and each has an engine and steering wheel from each but the same Irizar body with a different logo
Absolutely, much like Wright bodied buses can have different running gear underneath
@@wheelerd02 yeah
Irizar i4 scania coaches are cool!
Got a unique "face" on them I feel, also the grooved/fluted sweep rear lights are more imaginative than thr convertible box lamps
I noticed in your video and I have noticed on many coaches that the doors won't open or close unless you repeatedly press the button or wait a while is there a reason for this?
Old vehicles, sticky electrics, call it what you will. This motor is 2004 and got a fair old mileage on it. I imagine the switch gear is all original so had a few prods in it's time.
@@wheelerd02 ahh fair enough
So are you doing bus driver instead of bin man?
Yes sir
Why are you not a bin man anymore
Had enough of it my guy, I wasn't happy and the money wasn't enough. Doing much better now
Nice
@@wheelerd02 underpaid, overworked 🤜🏻
