I've been watching your channel for some time now, and I am really loving your fishing videos and how real you keep them! It was certainly your lucky day in this video!🍀🍀 I'm probably one of your only fans under 18 years of age, and I still enjoy your videos, that's how *great* this channel is! Keep fishin' on FirstState!!🎣🎣😎
8:25 i catch those things down in Cocoa Beach all the time, they're so annoying because they line the pier and shred your bait the instant it goes near the rocks, i call them rock hoppers
Hey! Looking forward to more of your travels. Loving the seasoning . For those who don’t know it’s killer with sautéed vegetables and as a rub for chicken too
Hay man I don’t want to be that guy telling UA-cam’s what to do but next video can u do a live stream 😅 Love the content, nice first video of the year. Happy new year bro
If you go down further, heading towards Nassau County there’s a bridge you can fish off of that’s just for fishing called Nassau Sound if you catch in coming tide u have a really good chance
If you head south in Florida stop in Crystal River. Great fishing from a kayak around Kings Bay. Stay at the campground on Fort Island Trail right on the water.
Hey man love all of your videos and number one thing I like about u is that u don’t give up and such a positive attitude I live in south Texas (corpus Christ) we have some amazing spots down here if u ever come. I’d be happy to show u around
Funny you say about DNR with binoculars. Our trout season opens when it’s still dark out and talked with a ranger with a night scope watching for people fishing too early. Kinda cool. Happy New Year! Love the realistic videos.
Tight lines for the new year, mate! Keep up the good work and fun vids. We don't always catch a good haul every time but we still keep casting our lines, that's what us fishos do.
In Oz we tend to hook prawns through the tail as the fish (over here at least) don't go for the head as that is where the spike is. The tail is solid muscle which holds the hook better. If I am using a whole bait and keep recovering the part with the hook in it, I just start hooking it up somewhere else.
You fished at one of my spots already at the boat ramp at the beginning of the video. Lots of hairy blenney and Black Sea bass. It’s fun, but I never catch anything that’s a keeper there. Fernandina Beach is great for surf fishing from any access point. Check out the little park by the Dames Point Bridge. There’s perch and good spots for throwing the cast net for shrimp on the St. John’s River. Huguenot State Park is also one of my favorite spots. St. John’s Pier in Saint Augustine is good for hardhead catfish, some shark species, and bluefish.
Dude, that's one of my usual spots. Lol I've caught an awesome variety of fish there, but just gotta be there at the right time and watch the rocks! Try the beach some time, too.
Yeah I haven't heard an answer from you when I said try clams cuz clams might do good too because here in New York everything eats clam here add shrimp and sand worms but since you're in the area in Florida try to get a couple of clams and put it on the same rig that you're doing now you might get some good progress you might get a big mangro snappers Sheepshead
I haven't fished at palms fish camp before drank there a bunch though! 🤣 I usually goto Browns Creek near there if not the Jax Beach Pier. Keep up the great content!
Dude I was fr their Monday morning and was fishin all day off of that Little Rock point but u can catch some good sheep head off of the dock that’s over to the left
Go to the west Coast of Florida, Tampa, St Petersburg, tarpon springs, etc. basically anywhere in the Gulf waters. Fishing is amazing in the Gulf. Much better variety then Jax
You should check out Amelia island. Kingston plantation. Jax has some pretty good places. I used to eat there at palms fish camp. Good times. Good job bro
Hey @FirstStateFishing the fish One day two you got confused on is called a finger mark we get them in Australia😂 you can tell by their big spot which is what peopel joke about saying is the way you hold them
The one time my dad ever got a fishing ticket his license expired the day before. It was a Monday and I convinced him the game warden wouldn’t be out on the lake. Three cast in they pulled up on a boat on us and wrote him a ticket. 😂 thankfully they told him he could get a lifetime lisence and get out of it though.
My first fish of 2024 was a wild Pennsylvania rainbow trout witch was also my first ever wild rainbow I have since then caught about 5 of them on my fly rod
The only problem I had noticed was the trout that were on the point that day were too small and they bit the shrimp in half just like the small bite you were getting

Hilarious video they just keep taking your shrimp way to start the year.

@fiststatefishing its actually called a lane snapper or red fish in trinidad
from australia just wondering if you have any tips to catch more fish?
We call the small redish fish a walliac in trinidad
Here’s your top comment. Use google lens on your phone to identify your fish you aren’t sure of.
I use Google lens to stealthy steal wifi passwords
Wow that actually is smart
@@MilesProwerTailsFoxhow
@@UnstoppableAngler taking a picture of the router then Google lens automatically copies the password, it's for stealth not for remote
It doesn't work very well for me ever
I'm a oatmeal fanatic as well bro, chewy is way better.
I been watching your videos for a while and I wanted to know what reel is that your always using
you should try cooking fish whole
Come down to west palm beach we can do some fishing
We can do some shark fishing
You should go to Sebastian and go to the Sebastian inlet
Dude!!!!!!!!!! Come to Texas SOUTH PADRE ISLAND !!!!🏝️
I always tail hook my shrimp when the nibblers are around, shrimp heads are not good bait, shrimp tails are
It's a red fish or red snapper. Very delicious but a bit small
Come out to Arizona!
The fish you caught that you didn't know was a Lane Snapper. Caught many of them over the years and they taste great.
It's called a finger mark
Lane snapper has an 8” min restriction last i saw.
@bryanmayorga3135 search up banyan finger mark and look at it and idk it might be the exact same thing
@@Rexschinese2fiddyDefinitely a lane and yes 10 inch min in central Florida
You should stop in Melbourne I have some good bass fishing spots and also know of some good salt water fishing
