What i love about FirstFishing is that this is what fishing is like. Sometimes you just gotta try stuff even if it feels odd, everyone reading. If you wanna try fishing, give it a try! Its such a fun learning experience!! Have fun, god bless
All my life i've been fishing off that pier l o l..... And i've never caught a flounder..... You are the goat my guy you are the goat!!!!! Keep the 🔥🔥 coming.
When you take the rig out of the packet, the first thing you do is attach it to the swivel/tie it on. This will help to not tangle. Nice video and keep up the good work :)
I was taught from the first time I went fishing as a kid to hold my finger on the underside of the line so I could feel any nibbles and bites... it kills me every time I see you just holding the rod lol having a feel of the line let's you sense every little touch
That definitely helps with sensitivity! I use braid on a lot of my setups which helps me feel what’s goin on a lot better and I can usually feel the bites pretty good if there isn’t a crazy wind/current
Everytime you see a hispanic or Asian dude on the pier, that is interested on your fish. DEFINITELY capitalize on the friendliness, they may become your best friend for the day!
I caught my PB Gaftopsail Catfish down in Saint Augustine with crab knuckles. But it was also like around 12-1 AM. I was just at the pier in Jax last week and nothing but baby bluefish and silver perch.
If you didn't know Soft Crab is a really, really good bait for the chesapeake bay, i have never fished the ocean with it but would give it a whirl if you got a spare rod anytime!
Put a bead between the weight slider and the rest of the line connected to the hook for a little precaution. With me fishing off so many piers in Florida, I tend to break off sometimes because the current gets rough and the weight slides up and down and can snap off the rest of the line. I found that using a bread helps! Just a suggestion 😎
I live in the area, we need to meet up sometime in the future and fish.....I know some pretty sweet spots around ne fl not far from where you go. Kinda too cold for me though lol....I don't have that Delaware blood like you do 😂.
Hey man been following for a while now, my dad taught me when i was a kid doing salt water fishing is to keep my index finger on my line if i wasn't sure of a bite or not
When I was a kid we used to get shrimp and use them as bait to catch crabs with our fishing lines 🤣 but I've never used crab as bait... it probably does work for some species though!
A minor tip when you are fishing and you think you are going to reel your rod in please set the hook so you don't lose your fish when you're ruining it in
Good morning next time try to use clams get the clam cut in strips and put it on the hook try it on a Pompano rig because I use clams well in New York we use clams crabs shrimp sandworms bloodworms and Moss bunker what you could look that up on Google see what a bunker is it's a bait fish that we use here during summer and fall for Bluefish and striped bass including summer flounder which we call fluke
Might be able to catch a sheepshead and redfish with blue crab knuckles, the problem with that pier, lots of small fish in the area will eat the crab meat
Im kind of surprised you gave the flounder to him😂 I mean he did help you lol but you caught it fair and square. Everyone wanted a piece of it, but I’m sure you just wanted to be nice and gain some good karma
He probably was going to release it tbh if he didn’t want to cook it. Might as well give it to someone who will love it even more. ❤ but yeah they definitely should’ve kept boundaries a little more. One fish and a whole army comes near him. 😂
From my experience a lot of different kinds of fish will hang out/feed near the structure (pier pilings) You can definitely cast out and catch fish too , if it’s slow I usually experiment with putting the bait different areas
55$!? Nah come down to palm beach we got the Lake Worth Pier at 4$ per fisherman and the juno which is one of the better piers in SF, hit me up if you are ever down here, no expert but I do my research bro!
Will never understand how googs like this have hundreds of thousands of sub's and get stupid amounts of views but know nothing about anything fishing related. then you have absolute goats in the fishing world with like 10k subs..
You don't know if you do you don't know. That's called a circular argument and gets you nowhere except where you started. Try "you don't know if you don't go"..perhaps your own self-professed reason to go fishing. You are welcome! .. .
Have yall ever fished with crab before?? 🤔🎣 What else should I try to fish with?
Yep I’ve caught huge sheepshead and huge black drum using fresh blue crab
You 've used fiddlers, THEY ARE CRABS...... 😤😱🎣
Never been saltwater fishing
Use cut mullet if you can find it. Nice flounder by the way
If you are ever in. South Florida You should go to Is sebastian inlet pier I'm going there on my birthday. It's full of Goliath grouper and snook

Thank you so much for describing your set up! I'm a lady and never know what I'm doing so it's nice to get a lesson. THANK U!
Good to see ladies getting into fishing
Been wanting him to do a video of rigging his line, I always feel like that's what keeps me from actually catching a fish 😅

That was nice you let him have that flounder looked like he was there for 8 hours trying to catch it and you got it right when you showed up 😂💪
Wow Small Fish Strike is released again, full support for you 👍 24:42

Your videos make me make it thru the winter nice videos.

Yeah I definitely slack when it comes to beads , you’re right I gotta start using em!

JUST IN TIME 🔥🔥🔥
Ayyy
Keep walking, ya weinee... damn touristas... Welcome to Fla. 😝🎣
Busin
Flounder is my favorite fish. If I were to catch one or more it would be very hard for me to give it away 😋
Can of sardines …. Or you can use some kind of dog treat like a biscuit or a milk bone lol 😂
When I was a kid we used to get shrimp and use them as bait to catch crabs with our fishing lines 🤣 but I've never used crab as bait... it probably does work for some species though!
Have a great day😂❤ keep it up
Good ole Jacksonville beach pier
Where is that pier located?
Please put more line on that reel!
they sell dead shrimp on the Jax pier also....I try not to go on the weekends due to how crowded it gets
A minor tip when you are fishing and you think you are going to reel your rod in please set the hook so you don't lose your fish when you're ruining it in
Kool baits make sure to make a video with those baits .
Send that warm weather up to Montana 😢 it's cold 🥶
Stay warm in that polar vortex!
@FirstStateFishing I'm trying to while I make my agate lures in the mean time. 🎣🍻🐢
Bet I got first but once again great vid always love the pier fishing vids
Whoa, your shoes match!
Those waves mess with you just like fishing in the river! rod bends but it's just the current..
Grocery store never runs out of shrimp... Publix 👍🏻... I can't remember the last time I actually bought dead bait shrimp at a bait shop 👍🏻
True! Im usually only lookin for live shrimp if I go to the bait shop
Nice video ❤
Nice in my backyard on the jax pair
Mike come to califirnia I’ll take you fishing 🥺🤷🏾♂️
I fish the Jax pier a lot and catch a lot of big trout this time of year
What rig do you throw?
Bro really love your channal
Crazy to ask someone to keep their fish lol
JACKSONVILLE PIER WOW
Mantap bang, kepiting sebagai umpan memancing 👍🏻
I’ve had my best fishing during super windy days
Might be able to catch a sheepshead and redfish with blue crab knuckles, the problem with that pier, lots of small fish in the area will eat the crab meat
So if you do know then you did know so then you will know that you dont know! Got it? I know!
Yeah, for some reason it's the windy side that makes more of a payday in my experinece
Im kind of surprised you gave the flounder to him😂 I mean he did help you lol but you caught it fair and square. Everyone wanted a piece of it, but I’m sure you just wanted to be nice and gain some good karma

I wish I could keep a 14 inch flounder. Where I am they have to be at least 18 inches to keep.
Yeah back where I’m from in Delaware it’s a few inches bigger too
Next time when you're fishing on the pier try dropping your bait down the side of several pilings
First😊
🎉
I love u man
Appreciate you 🔥
yes I use half of the crab on a 6o circle hook
please get new line on that reel its been low forever lol
Try squid 🐙 frozen or fresh
Should have got the old filipino guy's number. Dude would feed you filipino food til you burst 😅
I caught my pb 42in red on crab
I think flounder is the best tasting saltwater fish
Early gang
W gang
You could snap a crab in half and use as drum bait
15:22 theres a face in the sky 😳👤👀👀
Bro thats trippy af
First
You should do night fishing the bigger fish come in close at night you would probably have a better time
Why don’t you ever throw it out further when using crab or a bigger bait?
From my experience a lot of different kinds of fish will hang out/feed near the structure (pier pilings) You can definitely cast out and catch fish too , if it’s slow I usually experiment with putting the bait different areas
@@FirstStateFishing yeah that is true. I remember catching a 30 inch redfish from dropping shrimp straight down one time haha
55$!? Nah come down to palm beach we got the Lake Worth Pier at 4$ per fisherman and the juno which is one of the better piers in SF, hit me up if you are ever down here, no expert but I do my research bro!
Damm
Should keep it in half and throw it out best bait
USE A WHOLE SHRIMP,FOR BIGGER FISH. OR USE A WHOLE CRAB
CRAB PIECES NEED TO BE BIGGER
Please please give us fresh water videos
Will never understand how googs like this have hundreds of thousands of sub's and get stupid amounts of views but know nothing about anything fishing related. then you have absolute goats in the fishing world with like 10k subs..
so you're trying to say he's a goon who knows nothing about about fishing? if thats the case, his channel wouldn't have blew up like it has 🤷🏾
@@omarhill7345pretty sure he got a good amount of subscriber because he’s also funny he doesn’t just fish.
No hello? Anymore?
pretend first!
You'll have better luck if you stop cutting your bait so small!

Dude, I cannot stress this enough. If you're gonna use big Bates like blue crabs. You have to go into the deep water to get the big black drum.
I’ll have to head out to the end of the pier one of these times and give it a shot!
yeah I saw the video with the king fish.
And I don't mean exactly at the end. I'm the more in the middle for black drum.
Isn't it crazy how this is the most liked comment?!?!
Super cool of you to give that flounder to that dude 🫡 payin it forward like a true chad
