Damn, what a nice guide. Straight forward and focus on the imortant points. I need more from this. Thanks dude
I like the idea of doing a rocket then leveling it late. That seems like a smart way to work into the kickflip. I appreciate any new ideas on tricks.
Stay Rad Sir.
Thanks bro, that’s what really helped me understand the timing of the flick.
Listen guys… there is no better way to learning a trick than when you first land it your first half dozen times, and then you stop to figure out the mechanics of it switch. You actually learn more about your stance and footing for the tricks, and you actually experiment how footing works better through your stance wether it’s fakie switch or nollie. It’s just a big trial and error game through every single trick. It may take a little longer to find consistency at first but once you train your mind and feet/legs to be conditioned in this sense and you start landing your switch stance attempts I guarantee that your consistency in performing the trick in your native stance is going to increase drastically. When I started skating like this, after 6-8 months of this strategy there wasn’t a single one of my friends in my skate clique that were able to beat me in a game of skate for about a year or so and they all discovered the benefit of this method of learning these tricks. I don’t know if any of this is making sense but I feel it’s something that everyone can benefit from when practicing learning tricks like this. Cuz in the end your goal for learning a trick is to be able to perform these tricks in all four stances…. Then you need to incorporate those tricks in each stance while rotating both frontside and backside 180/36o. It may seem like a lot, but it’s very rewarding. I had skated for 2 years before I was getting kick flips down solid. I actually learned heelfips before I had solid kick flips down. But it was really at the 3rd year of skating I took this approach and by my 4th year I was destroying other kids in skate as well as motivating and encouraging others to skate the same way in hopes of getting them to pick up the abilities to learn and perform these tricks in both native and switch stances. Again…. Skating with this approach enables you to figure out what footing and body placement as well as shoulder placement(also very important) work for you while learning to performn these tricks in a consistent manner. But also remember everyone should always look forward to having FUN above all. There is no right and wrong way to learning these abilities to do these tricks. Some techniques work better for some people while other people prefer another route. Always stay humble and remember to have fun!
It helps so much to pop it straight up and then kick through your board. Rocket then kick forward. I was practicing it over and over tonight lol this trick is such a challenge compared to other tricks
I got kickflips 50% of the time but this video is gonna help me with consistency
I land every try since I unlocked it
im right on the edge of landing it but i land before the board. appreciate the tips
I am so glad you did this vid, I been struggling with this for so long. The slowmo at the end really helps. You’re awesome, keep up the great work!
Thanks bro! Lmk if it helps.
Great tips bruh, thanks! 🙂
Thanx dude,nice vid

really good looking vid ty for hack
Dude this is an amazing video
Thank you so much! I hope it helps?
This video helped me land my first
Ayy, happy I could help you. Keep up the progression!
Yesssss
I watch this video a lot and I still can’t get the flick correct. I flick down and not out. I do the ankle roll and flick my ankle like you said (1:40) and when I actually go to do the trick I still resort to the habits.
my front foot cant get on it just goes to the ground
The kickflips you do at 4:23 and 5:38 where the board's tail rotates 45-90 degrees backside is what happens to me every time and I can't figure out why. Can you help me understand what I'm doing wrong that is causing the board rotate? This causes me to miss with my backfoot and not land the kickflip a lot. I'm keeping my shoulders straight and trying to push back when I pop.
Jump straight up bro
Bones bushings squeaks ? Lol
How about brother and if I only do the one with the back foot what can I do?
What?
how to varial kickflip dude
I can make the board do the flip but I just can't land both feet on it its impossible
It might be because you’re not keeping your weight centered, make sure to keep your head over the center of your board. Also keep your shoulders over the bolt, remember that your feet will always follow your shoulders. And remember to Ollie first then flick.
those squeaky bushings don't bother you? i'd put a little dawn dish soap in your pivot cup and a very light amount around the kingpin and see if that helps with the squeaking. otherwise awesome video. 👍
Yea. I usually wax it. It only really does it in the cold.
if you hear your bushings squeak you don’t have your music loud enough
