I have the ones with out the Ollie patch. Lennox, I think. Great chill shoe. Like a slip on Vans Era. The Ventura is the one with the padded collar like a Vans slip. Those are great for skating but don't have the ollie patch, but I believe are thicker or double layer canvas. I have a white pair for work too. Good and affordable shoes.

I watch this video a lot and I still can’t get the flick correct. I flick down and not out. I do the ankle roll and flick my ankle like you said (1:40) and when I actually go to do the trick I still resort to the habits.

I’m thinking about going from an 8 to an 8.25. I’m skating hollow light thunder 147s on an 8 and the board feels a little too light. I feel the upsize might help me with consistency without effecting my pop. Just self conscious about my shoe to the board. I’m only a size 8 in shoe. I’ve skate size 8 bakers and like them, but they are a tad bit too short for me. I hope picking up an 8.25 baker might help me more.

@@nextlvlroy they’re called vans skate slip on. Those are suede but they have canvas options.

The kickflips you do at 4:23 and 5:38 where the board's tail rotates 45-90 degrees backside is what happens to me every time and I can't figure out why. Can you help me understand what I'm doing wrong that is causing the board rotate? This causes me to miss with my backfoot and not land the kickflip a lot. I'm keeping my shoulders straight and trying to push back when I pop.

I can make the board do the flip but I just can't land both feet on it its impossible
It might be because you’re not keeping your weight centered, make sure to keep your head over the center of your board. Also keep your shoulders over the bolt, remember that your feet will always follow your shoulders. And remember to Ollie first then flick.
