Poor baby... seeing Yamato struggle so badly while knowing what he's trying to communicate through his jumbled words is so tragic. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to function with such severe brain damage, especially when it is somebody who is used to functioning with such a famously brilliant, sharp mind. I would probably be panicking and confused as all hell in that awful state. Yamato is truly my best boy. You can fry his mind to incoherence, but you can't take away all of his cuteness! ...I also find it infinitely funny that he has likely canonically watched Love Live at some point in his life. Man has some good taste in anime. I headcanon him as a Honoka kinnie! (spoilers for the ending of DRA!) I don't think any of the classmates deserved to be shoved into a killing game, but Yamato ESPECIALLY did not deserve all this crap after being the sole reason his classmates were able to make it to safety and narrowly avoid despair genocide in the first place. But I guess that Kiyoka was also instrumental to the plan's success as well, given how difficult it was for Yamato to snipe off the pursuing Monokumas (Teruya and Tsurugi acting like human GPS were probably also helpful, but their aid wouldn't mean much in the end if the Monokumas could catch up with the truck anyway...still, idk, maybe Tsurugi could act as dollar-store Kiyoka with his firearm training???) Still, I can't imagine just how difficult a class-wide escape to his overseas lab would be to plan and pull off. He just wanted to keep his classmates safe, worked so goddamn hard for it, and STILL got screwed over in the end anyway despite all of his precautions
Kisaragi is honestly the true hero of DRA. His fate was probably the worst out of all of them. I wish there had been one trial with him, though I don't know how it would've fit...

3 months later, it’s mostly a sort of but yes? If I remember this right He got angry at Yuki a few times but doesn’t quite remember why due to brain damage, to Yuki since doesn’t remember either so to Yamato gets upset at him for seemingly no reason. They do talk it out and both believe that’s it’s massive misunderstanding between and leads to the free times events where they hang out, Yamato does wish that Yuki was always like how is now then before when He was quiet and distance towards pretty much everybody before the killing game started. I could be wrong here.
