- The village of Combloux in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps might have been making its first appearance on the UCI Enduro World Cup stage, but this corner of France’s status as the beating heart of the format makes this weekend’s racing something of a homecoming for the sport.
Its debut WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series course wasn’t welcoming riders with open arms though, providing a stern test across six stages featuring 2,530m descent, while the total course (including liaisons) would see competitors tackle a 39.2km with 1,685m elevation gain. Combined with a slick track from rain earlier this week and baking hot conditions, and the field had their work cut out for them just to make it to the finish line without succumbing to time penalties.

It's worth knowing that UA-cam REALLY prioritizes longer videos that keep viewers to the end. A 20-minute or 30-minute video about EDR and its riders is going to perform better for you than a 23-minute video where a third of it is about battery bikes. Then the 8-minute E-EDR video will be a bonus people can watch on their own.
Surely these can get uploaded on the day?.....trying to stay of socials to not see the winners is near impossible!!
Looked like a good race. Not sure this video gave us a good feel of that. EDR coverage gets very repetitive, same top 5 talikng points . You'd think only ten people have entered this race.
For example the well spoken Greg Callaghan , returning to form running his own program but just outside top ten so invisible but shows up on ebike next day "possibly for the craic" and boom hes in the EEdr coverage.
Theres stories all through the field and riders with big individual followings not even getting a mention. Youd have to ask yourself if you were one of these guys or girls is it worthwhile going to EDRs and down the line what will we be watching

Horrible coverage, this should be uploaded within hours not within days, more people would tune in if you livestream the whole thing. Only boomers pay for those extra TV channel subscriptions. The future is UA-cam, learn a thing or two from Redbull...

@@danielhlw You want them to pay and you also want it for free? What's in it for Warner? I'm probably very stupid for not understanding why big corporations don't want to put in hundreds of man hours and tens of thousands in equipment rental and give it away for free.
@@driten123 well Red Bull does gain something from giving them away for free, which is lots of publicity and marketing; Warner, I’m not sure now that you mention it. But surely they care more about revenue in terms of subscriptions than Redbull which is why they pay for the logistics and give them away for free. Also, riders pay to be there even if they worked hard and earned that spot along with fat fees to the UCI to be able to even have a racing license. Locking that content behind a paywall seems greedy and the ones we get for free aren’t even the full runs, only snippets. Contrary to when Redbull had the UCI contracts for the Worldcup on previous years, full runs and free livestream. Of course they could be using different strategies. Cheers. I have to agree with more coverage. People here saying it can't be done, you all apparently haven't see GMBN Racing channel that covers the entire downhill semi finals start to finish. Like 2 hour videos.
It can be done.
This level of highlights it's shameful to be honest. We're getting 1-2 minute clips of each stage for men's and women's racing.
There are interviews on the races saying how hard the course was, just barely hanging on, etc., and all we see is one or two corners for 1 minute.
If it's going to be this hard to watch enduro races, it's not going to gain traction and grow.
I'm already not happy that we can't see the finals of downhill racing, but these enduro videos are laughable at best.
Also, let's just ignore that they have no issues uploading the entire XC races consistently.
Honestly it's a slap in the face to the riders and sponsors that this is the BS we get to see.
