@@mathieu722 nah, the French light naval forces are just that bad the issue of being defeated so early in the war, they have mostly pre war PTs, so they have no armament to speak of plus the torps they developed for them aren't good possible they could add some of the Avisos as coastal (like the Brit Flower class) but that's about it
The L9059 is actually a british design used in Indochina by the french for fire support from rivers. Also where are the SS12 on the La Combattante ? The launcher normally has 2 SS11 on top and 2 SS12 underneath, you can see in pictures because they're noticeeably bigger than the SS11
Hilariously, La Combattante was officially passed to developers yesterday. *After* it had already been added to the game. Though hopefully the devs will look at the suggestion so they can be reminded that it's supposed to have SS-12 missiles instead of just SS-11. It should keep the SS-11s as stock missiles and make the SS-12 an unlockable upgrade.
La Combattante could use SS12 IRL: -Faster( ~300+ m/s vs the 220m/s of the SS11), -Longer range (15km vs 3km), -Way more explosive mass (28kg vs the 2kg from SS11 (but it should be more around 6.8kg for the SS11 ingame afaik) I hope they change that ingame. But end of the day, pretty sad coastal TT start for France, none of the funny meme ship like the sherman barge, or the boat with FL10 turret (yesyes, we put the amx13 turret on a ship, alongside 3x quad 12.7 and a mortar) is sad, both of them could up the interest in the TT. I was not hoping more coming from Gaijin.. Looks like Gaijin want to do the same things as with the French ground TT: a noob barrier on the early rank. And bluewater still the worst in the game, the trailer would have been 10 timer better if it was a Dunkerque class surrounded by the coastal ships.
@@RedXlVAlgerie, La galissoniere class, T47 class, for coastal, some light escorts like Le Corse (E50) class... There is plenty of things to add without going too modern with missiles or too heavy with armor and guns, despite the fact that there is already in game BBs with bigger guns than even the Richelieu class
@@nicolaspeigne1429 I don't see the point to sell speed as your main advantage. Ok you reach cap point 10s before everybody else... But before you can cap it they can easy destroy you with their MGs, canon and all, and you can't do anything.

The bar is set too low in coastal. Coastal should start at 2.0, and every machine below 2.0 should be removed from game. 2.0 should be the new reserve.
Not really, most low tier coastals work well either against other coastals or against destroyers (in case of torpedo boats). So they do work in the game and for me personally is what makes naval cool couse for big ships you already have wow

I'm mainly talking about the boats that have less than 2x12.7s or 20mm autocannons. These reserves and 1.3s that have multiple 12.7s or 20mm guns are so much better than any vehicle that has a single 12.7 or 7.7s. Your initial experience shouldn't be the worst guns and the worst survivability. This follows along the same lines as why the 1.0 French tanks were moved out of the tech tree and the reserve vehicles were replaced. Turns out if your initial experience is terrible, people stop playing. All the rank 1 and 2 vehicles in this French coastal tree are looking pretty rough. I think it is going to turn people away. Compared to most other nations, these vehicles are the worst. The bar was set too low.
The miniature is a lil bit insulting for us...😢 And guy, who on this planet need more than 2km for his torpedoes? I never expected my torp to hit until I'm closer than 1km of my target... Maybe long range shot can work on bots 😂

And it's not like it's somehow too soon to add Dunkerque, since Scharnhorst (Germany's direct response to Dunkerque) is already in the game.

GB coastal has some good, some bad. I actually like the 40mm pompom though

Nah, I like playing the absolute rowboat tier ones and if you don't like it you can grind through them in like 5 minutes
