Minigun101 I played beta early late june/early july last year and then again last weekend. Its nothing like the traditional elder scrolls games. It seems like a normal MMO with less abilities (which don't belong in ES games anyway) and a real first person option. I tried being mage, thief/archer and warrior and the only one that was fun to me was mage, because its the only one that seemed like it had any impact with spells. swords just kinda slash around with no knockback or repercussions and bows are pretty horribly done. then again this is all stuff I saw in beta and if they do a major overhaul it may get better, but as it stands now I don't see it lasting long.
As a beta tester I will back up Mr. Persons statement, I left the beta utterly disappointed. When there are so many MMOs out there that do what ESO is doing but better and free, it is not worth the 60$ box price + sub fees.
If the song sings positively about the pile of shit called TESO, I will unsubscribe. I'll still watch some of his videos, but like, I won't be subscribed. Also I'll hate harry patridge forever. I am not. I played the beta... its trash. the combat is extremely clunky, stealth is a joke and the art is stale and generic with only minor thematic ties to previous titles. I will simply wait for Wildstar thank you.

ESO was average at best. It wasn't great but it wasn't horrible. What really put me off of the game for full release was all the bullshit pre-order and deluxe edition stuff. At that point they just became another company trying to get all the monies by jumping on the MMO bandwagon.

I half disagree with that, as far as I can tell TESO is not going to be that great and probably won't sell very well, but multiplayer is always something I think should be added to every game, well at least the Fallout and TES franchise. I always wanted it to be more of a small co op experience though where you could play through the singleplayer but with a friend as a companion or something.

Because the game plays horribly, and this isn't an outcast opinion, plenty of people have played the beta, and said it sucked. Not to mention its a monthly fee. Who wants to pay out the ass for a game thats gonna suck? Not I.

Yes, "is" not "will be" because it's already terrible and nothing they can do within the current timespan will be enough to make it decent. Anyone who's played the BETA, seen gameplay videos, or cared about the lore/series will understand this. Gameplay is boring and generic and they've fucked up the lore sky high. Pile that with an archaic payment model that will border greedy due to possible micro-transactions and the game will flop like TOR. Literally the only thing they have saving them is marketing and the fact that it'll be on consoles (however the fuck that will work).
Just remember, this isn't being developed by Bethesda, it's being developed by Zenimax.
Yes, ANYONE who's played the BETA, since you know, everyone in the /zone chat was just pretending to like the game in order to achieve absolutely nothing. Yeah, they've really fucked up the lore, like how they did... ummmmm... they ummm... I think Dark Elves can choose to not have red eyes, that would be pretty rare... But since the game is taking place 700 years before the first TES game, how the hell would we know...
Oh, yeah, and the gameplay! I absolutely hate how they've taken the TES formula, combined it with MMO and improved on both formulas to make them more engaging. SHAME ON ZENIMAX!

I played the beta and it's freakin awesome! I find it difficult to like MMORPG but this one just looks amazing! Sure, some bugs and stuff but hey, it was beta! When It's done I'm sure it's incredible and worth the money!
