    I love this video. It has helped me more than any other video, diy instructions or friends with so much info to share. But I am stumped with the Sikalite waterproofing product. I've googled it and searched high and low for something similar. If I knew where to get it or had something similar, I could move forward with confidence.

    All this comments about cement and wearing a mask,hasnt anbody ever worked in construction? Secondly this is an example of building a koi pond where they begun by saying you can build it to any size or shape that you want,they were not going to spend 12000USD on building a pond for your criticism.

    Limestone will turn into cement when it receives moisture.
    The limestone dust will receive moisture in her lungs, (hence) she now has cement in her lungs.
    The limestone dust will receive moisture on her skin, (if sweating), (hence) she could have cement in her skin pores.
    You Go Girl,...... teach your viewers how it's done.

    I have built a second pond or waterhole here in south Africa, one of them attracts so many animals and has frogs and tadpoles, the other one does not attract the animals, frogs die and there are little worms on the walls....what is the difference? could it be the quality of cement that may be poisoning or making the water toxic?

    • @zdravaumetnica
      @zdravaumetnica Рік тому

      Also the lime in the concrete is toxic for the animals and therefore should be sealed with rubber paint. Therefore, not sure how smart it is to use concrete for fish

    • @nowirehangers2815
      @nowirehangers2815 9 місяців тому

      @@zdravaumetnicait’s fine if you use a sealant and you must allow the like from the concrete to leach out or be neutralised or sealed before putting anything living in

    Hello I need your help can you help? I am having a problem here in england it rains alot and recently we have had floods. I have been building a pond 3 feet deep 6 feet long 3 feet wide. I have major problems and need help. I dug down through alot of clay and did this to make the pond level with the retaining wall that holds the soil in like a retaining wall. I wanted to make the pond level with the wall you see. I put down some concrete slab reinforced with reebar then used breeze blocks and rendered them but decided on using a rubber liner. The problem I am having is water is penetrating the concrete floor I put down more concrete on top to try to level the floor better but I am getting water coming into the pond some of the water looks like a rainbow with colors like you get when oil mixes with water and dont think this is any good the pond advisor says i need drainage well not sure what he means or how i would resolve my problem is their any advise you would give. its hard to write don whats going on perhaps sending a photo would help you understand. Could you please tell me how to resolve this i keep emptying the pond but this problem wont go away and if I put a liner in what would happen would the water underneath push the liner up?and this might not be a good thing for fish I imagine . Please advise thanks

    • @jeangibsonmedley
      @jeangibsonmedley 5 років тому

      The water you add AFTER using a liner will hold your liner down.
      You needed to add the waterproof clay she recommends in the video or similar product in your area. It sounds like you have leeching in your ground [water seeping from all sources] the oil look probably is oil, many areas have that naturally, many areas have that from water that's drained from rooftops, roads etc.

    • @jeangibsonmedley
      @jeangibsonmedley 5 років тому

      You also might have dug into a natural spring. Can you get the water tested at a local fish store, water department or pond/garden center
