Review of my border

In this video I take you on a tour of the border in my back garden because I want to change and develop it a bit. Most of the plants are working well but a few are struggling because I have quite poor soil and the border doesn't receive a great deal of sunshine. I believe in working with what you've got and finding the right plants for the horticultural conditions.
My border faces north but it actually receives about four hours of sunshine a day because my fences are low. The soil is fairly poor and free draining.
I am going to take out the plants that don't work and cut back my Salvia 'Hot Lips' plants to keep them nice and bushy. Then I am going to improve the soil with well rotted manure and good quality compost. Finally I will add some new plants suitable for my border. Look out for my video in a couple of weeks time to see how my border shapes up. Hopefully I will give you some ideas for your garden.
