      I think that's lighter than Eddie which is hilarious: Eddie has a 3 year weight loss journey to be in 'bodybuilding shape' . And thor loses more weight in 7 months.

      @@benextinction__144 just my opinion but being super big and strong is part of Eddie's ego and Thor just wants to be as good as he can in whatever he wants to acheive. The massive size was what he needed for WSM and now he doesnt.

    Actually you're looking really good . Many times we see the strongmen look unhealthy after all their competitions due to they just want to give themselves a break and think they'll trim up later . You really give proper strength training a good name by continuing to take care of yourself . A credit to your sport and yes , i watched the true deadlifting world record holder break the 500kg barrier , 501kg will stand a lot longer i guarantee it . You could have done 20 or 30 more kg i bet that day .
    You did it the right way , and i wish you and your family all the best in the future .

    Really impressed with the skipping and the footwork, jab and move find an open spot and open up with combos, when Eddie is too much back up and away and keep those hands up when needed.
    Rules for deadlifting;
    1)Correct feet positioning
    2)The right grip and hand placement on the bar.
    3)Always fart before a lift, not during, otherwise you run the risk of touching cloth or even the floor.

    I’ve never had problems with my back from deadlifting either. The thing that I can recommend is that the exercise is a leg exercise before it is a back exercise. The initial movement should be you pushing the weight of the ground before you use your posterior chain to get upright.

      @GODOFHELLFIRE3 3 роки тому +9

      @RaozSkillz Oh yeah, Eddie lifted that shit like a broomstick! He COULD have lifted more ... but he didn't. The record is for 'heaviest axel pressed overhead' - not 'heaviest axel that someone reckons they could have pressed overhead, several years ago, if they'd really gone for it'. That's the point that people are missing.
      It's like when Eddie said how he could have pulled a 550kg deadlift 'if he'd actually cared' - until he does it, that's all empty words. He's just saving face - and it's that kind of vain refusal to admit defeat that makes it very difficult for me to like him.

    Thanks Thor! You are the man! Just got back into lifting this week mixing in some cardio. I’m doing a 5x5 routine and was curious how many times per week should I be doing deadlifts?

      Once a week for strength training is enough.

      @@Hafthorjulius Thanks man. Appreciate all the advice and insight. You recommended a belt which I have actually been looking at since I’m getting back into it and haven’t ever used a belt before. I was looking at the Rogue USA Nylon lifting belt. Do you think a belt like that should do the trick? Or should I be looking to spend a little more and get something leather? Appreciate the feedback and your time Thor. Thanks again!

      No cap, deadlifting after being home with covid was the best i’ve ever felt, although i was in quarantine for 2 weeks i felt stronger than before and i even lifted heavier that day.
