That’s fantastic to hear! 🎉 We’re so glad you enjoyed the video and that Valley of the Gods made it to your 2025 road trip shortlist! It’s such a breathtaking place, and we’re sure you’ll have an unforgettable adventure. Safe travels and happy exploring! 🚗✨
Great to hear that this drive is on your bucket list. It’s definitely an experience worth looking forward to. Thank you for sharing your excitement and for watching! 🚗✨
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! When I saw Forest Gump movie years ago, I immediately fell in love with the Monument Valley scene and told myself I wanted to go there one day, which I did a few year ago. Now, I want to go back there, through the spots you showed here (Valley of the Gods, which I also went through last time with our rental suv). This time, I want to drive my own car and do car camping there, one day at a time, just enjoy the scenery around. There are so many canyon places you can easily spend days or weeks in AZ, CO, NM and UT areas.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Monument Valley truly is a magical place, and it’s amazing to hear that the Forest Gump movie inspired your visit. Your plan to return and explore even more, especially with your own car and some car camping, sounds like an incredible adventure. Valley of the Gods and all those canyon spots in AZ, CO, NM, and UT are indeed perfect for taking your time and soaking in the beauty. Connecting with fellow travelers who share our love for these destinations means the world to us. We’re excited to hear about your future adventures and hope our videos continue to inspire your travels! 🚗🏜️✨
I was there in June, camped for three days. It's absolutely beautiful. When we left, we just had to go a short distance and went to Moki Dugway right after. Unbelievable scenery.
Sounds like you really took the time to enjoy Valley of the Gods! It’s such a stunning place. We always make it a point to visit the Valley, Moki Dugway and Muley Point whenever we’re in the area. The scenery is just unbelievable, isn’t it?
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s amazing how some places can feel so otherworldly, right? We are glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought back wonderful memories for you. Safe travels on your next adventure.
It’s a beautiful place! I camped on the side of that pointy butte January of 2023. The road was muddy as heck it cost me 30 bucks at the car wash in Blanding. Then when I got to Saint George, I made another trip to a car wash and still a lot of red mud left. It took several trips to the local car wash for the water to completely run clear. Moki Dugway is another of my favorite road to drive that’s very scenic to drive on the way to Natural Bridges National Monument. I did it the day after I camped on the rim of Goose Neck State Park. All beautiful areas of Utah.
Wow, what an adventure! 🌄 Camping in Valley of the Gods in January must have been an incredible experience, despite the muddy roads and extensive car wash. Moki Dugway and Goose Neck State Park are indeed stunning spots, and it’s wonderful to hear about your journey through this beautiful area of Utah. It’s very special to us to really connect with fellow travelers who love the destinations we’ve come to cherish. Thank you for sharing your story.
@@WorldofDrives I’ve watched the whole video. Thanks so much for making these video. I’ll watch the other ones you have when I have time. Do you happen to have one driving the Shafer Trail either from Potash Road or from the top from Canyonlands? I’m planning on driving this late December. I could squeeze it, to go to Thelma and Louise too.
Shafer Trail is an incredible road! It’s packed with fun and a dash of thrilling excitement. We’ve got the first leg of our Shafer Trail adventure live right here: ua-cam.com/video/wdTZ7hJu-p8/v-deo.html
Awesome video, thx for sharing. BEAUTIFUL scenery! I know Monument Valley is just down the road but I can still see and hear Airwolf flying all around haha. The image quality is superb and the stabilization incredibly good. Very pleasant to watch! I'm from Europe so I don't know, but can you drive that road with a normal vehicle, or is it necessary to have a 4x4 offroader? Most of the road looks flat and well maintained, that's super nice. What car were you driving? What was the outside temperature when you filmed this?
Thank you for your excitement and compliments! The road at Valley of the Gods is generally in good condition and accessible to most vehicles. However, we found that it was much worse in the fall compared to spring, as shown in this video: ua-cam.com/video/cdLtuXCJO58/v-deo.html There was plenty of soft sand and some deep holes. After some rain, the road can turn into a mud pool and become impassable, even for the best 4x4s. The first time, we drove a 2-wheel drive SUV, while the second time, we used a 4-wheel drive, which was much more comfortable in the soft sand. The temperature was a pleasant 90°F/32°C. All in all, we love coming back to this road and area.
That would be an epic adventure straight out of the 80s action series! (Although the series was actually shot at Monument Valley, despite the Valley of the Gods reference in the show.) Thanks for the awesome comment! 🌟 What part of the Valley of the Gods fascinates you the most?
The Valley of the Gods is actually both a historical and beautiful area to travel. The valley is known for its stunning rock formations. Historically, the Valley of the Gods is significant to Native American tribes, particularly the Navajo, who consider the area sacred. The formations are believed to contain the spirits of Navajo warriors. We hope you enjoyed the video!
Indeed. This area is popular for camping and driving around, but it doesn’t have permanent restrooms. The porta potties help keep the area clean and protect the environment by providing a proper place for people to use the bathroom.
Absolutely! The Valley of the Gods truly feels like a setting straight out of a Tex Willer or Kit Carson adventure. The rugged landscapes and dramatic vistas are perfect for imagining epic tales of the Wild West. 🌄📚
