What crazy is the first played you showed was the play Zak Zinter was injured. Still ended up as a great gain, setting up one of the most memorable plays, and moments, of the season and (given that they won the title) Michigan football history.
Great video. IMO, the most clutch play all season was McCarthy jumping up to catch the high throw back from Edwards, with one hand, in the Rose Bowl then completing a 20 yard pass to Wilson under heavy pressure. The play was a potential disaster that JJ flipped into a big gain leading to a TD.
The past that JJ threw was horribly thrown and I was thinking interception, but the receiver had no one around him for 10 yards. Go blue and hopefully Harbaugh returns next season. I see JJ is going to the NFL. I still think he should’ve stayed one more year, and won the Heisman, I don’t know if he’ll be selected in the first round this year.
That was a fumble or fumble recovered by Bama if he doesn't catch it. Then to throw it off his back-foot with one of the best defensive players in his face 🤯 helped to save the game
To one hand catch that thing, and then dot up wilson downfield with a bama defender nailing him literally the next millisecond. CLUTCH
@@LastGunslinger1 Plus JJ was facing the wrong way when he caught it. He had to spin around and throw the ball in one motion to have any chance.

Blake Corum will go down as a Michigan legend and one of the clutchest CFB players of all time. Between his runs and his catches in the Rose Bowl, Corum was money in the big moments
I know that Blake had a great year, but I was expecting to see many 200 yard games rushing for him, and it didn’t happen. Michigan’s defense this year prove to be formidable.
O-line wasn’t quite as good this year. They weren’t getting to second level as much and creating those long runs for Blake (or Edwards for that matter).
Also, coaches wisely were limiting Blake’s carries in the early part of the season when they were blowing everyone out. I know he had less than 10 carries in at least one game. That paid big dividends later in season, beginning with Penn State when we started the string of better defenses.
I noticed that on many of Blake Corum’s big runs he had to cut back and go the other way, because there was no hole for him from the offensive line. Really looking forward to Donovan Edwards, having a terrific season at Michigan next year go blue.

That tight end delay play they have been running that for almost 3 yrs now . Eric all specialty back in 2021. One of the few plays that josh gattis the former o.c gets Credit for Implementing.

what really set up the TE slip screen was McCarthy wound up like he was going to throw the wheel route to Edwards. You can see even after Barner releases, #35 continues to rotates to the outside of the field to cover Edwards even though is responsibility is the flat underneath. His throwing motion sold the sideline route and it was almost a "no look" pass to Barner that made what would have been an 8 yard completion into an 18 yarder.
Great review. I also like the pass against OS when JJ threw one to Wilson between 2 defenders who had their backs turned on JJ.
Great choices, particularly the first few you showed. Those were sneaky, big plays that no one will remember years from now, but if they had gone poorly, the games could have turned out differently.

One of those plays, the quarterback running from the end zone to the forty or so, made me think Washington's linemen could use to do a web search for "Larry Allen."

Maryland 24 points was the most scored on Mich. They gave up 10 points or less in 9 of 15 games and 15 points or less in 12 of 15 games
Here is what's interesting to me about Michigan's offense. Jim Harbaugh is downhill power running with a mix of inside zone, counter, and duo and a limited passing offense. (Michigan tried to add some outside zone but shelved it after it struggled to gain traction). But Michigan implemented some pass plays in the CFB Playoff that you normally see in a power spread offense (or air raid in the extremely pass-centric offense). So Michigan expanded its toolbox/playbook and pulled out plays that it hadn't showed on tape. For instance, Michigan can run (glance) RPO or under center play action passing (UC PAP) at any time it wants but often chooses not to because it prioritizes the run game. If Michigan commits to improving its passing game production while maintaining its run game, it'll be a HELLISH team for anyone to play against because the run game is solid and can churn out yards even against elite defenses. For instance, when is the last time you saw Michigan attempt 1v1 slot fade? How about 2x2 double posts? Michigan has a lot of room to improve its passing game.

these were indeed. although there are 2 other playes i woud be putting up there. in fact the one i thought for sure would be number 1 was not on the list. and that is michigan stopping Milroe on 4th and goa in OT. also sainristil INT going 80 yards down to the 4 or 5. i would even say the INT at the end of the game vs OSU
