I'm British and have issues with my gut, bloating and bowels all my life. I have had intestinal infections which my doctor said was common but people don't normally have symptoms I had sickness and diarrhoea she put my on no food just fluids for 3 weeks. I have issues with fibre in my body I eat a healthy diet and eat fruit and vegetables every day. I struggle on bowel movements. I think it all comes from my gut, I found this fascinating and frustrating doctors here don't investigating. I have also had breast cancer, since then none have given me advice on food I had to research it myself. I thank you so much and I wish British doctors were more like American doctors.

You will not heal your gut in three weeks. You'll feel better in that amount of time or less, but just as a smoker will not heal their lung tissue just because they've cleared out much of the tar and are no longer nicotine addicted, there will still be residual damage. many ex-smokers have contracted lung cancer many years after quitting smoking.
There’s a great little book on natural healing written by an older man who cured himself of a number of maladies without medical intervention, called My Physician, Myself. I read it a couple of years ago but lost my copy. I’m going to Amazon right now to order one and be more careful with it. It’s more than worth the read. You might look into the work of Luigi Cornaro, a Venetian nobleman who lived to be 102.

Using a new carton of soy milk with only soybeans and water as it’s ingredients, pour it into sterilized jars sitting in the instant pot. Add yogurt cultures: you can use yogurt, a probiotic pill, or buy culture. I empty a probiotic pill, splitting it among four jars. Set it to sous vide at 113 F for 14-16 hours and wake up to fresh yogurt.

Good stuff as usual! One of the easy things I do that is quick...cook a can of beans (typically black beans) with a can of corn. Top off with guacamole sometimes, but always including salsa. You can get beans in bags and soak the night before, and try to get organic. This has helped my gut & psoriasis/ecema to a degree. Experiment to see what works!

    • @monikamona6844

I wouldn't eat any canned food unless there's no other choice. Not only is it dead, sterilized but there are lots of health issues eating foods that've been commercially processed and sitting in a can. Also the taste is weird to me. What I do to avoid the hassle soaking and cooking legumes (all kinds of beans, chickpeas) each time, unless it's lentils that cook quickly without soaking, I soak and cook a big portion and what's not eaten within the next 3 days I freeze in small batches. Of course with frozen food you need to perk them up adding warming spices to improve their chi energy (freezing affects it, but it's a better option than canned food, that's why I choose to buy frozen peas, never canned).
I agree black beans which are less common in my country are so yummy 😋

    • @kengaskins5083

Thanks for the feedback Monika. I think eating canned goods is okay, but I wouldn't suggest it all the time. I do think soaking beans overnight that come from a bag or are freshly grown is better (for the environment too overall), but I trust using canned goods at times for convenience. In the USA, so rules are somewhat stringent though there is often too much sodium or sugar in canned goods. Anyway, just getting back to you as I revisited the video.

Been WFP Only for over 3 years. Fibromyalgia for over 14 years. Still have problems and have tried most of these mentioned examples to some degree. Questions: Is it possible that your gut does not digest well with very low overall energy production problems? With our modern lifestyle of cleanliness is it possible to have enough healthy non-transient microbes, even with eating fermented foods? What do you think of yeast, as in bread, being an allergic problem with some people? Or a fungus problem that is only in the gut? Can you be allergic to glyphosate? Just started with Seed Probiotic company a week ago with initial good results.

I can’t answer your question specifically but I have fibromyalgia and found that there are numerous genetic markers associated with it. I ran a simple 23 and me and was also able to pull up histamine markers and digestive problems like inability to create enough DAO etc. well, there’s a huge connection between histamine and fibromyalgia. So there may be some other things to consider besides just eating the right foods. You may be genetically predisposed to not be able to create a perfect gut and need some additional supports.

I haven't had fast foods in over 35 years or more. I don't overeat, I probably don't eat enough if anything. I eat yogurt (lactose free/low sugar) and eat oat cereal, mostly gluten free oatmeal with organic blueberries, strawberries or bananas. Never feel good after it. I eat a light lunch & eat a decent dinner, but not heavy. No desserts & my gut still burns/hurts. I don't drink soda, just mostly plain water, or vitamin water/no sugar. Don't smoke (haven't in over 45 years or drink alcohol, but still lost my teeth & got an incurable cancer. There is no magic answer to health sometimes.

Hi Judi I too feel sick after having oats with yoghurt and fruit. When I puts oats into a bowl with water and microwave till just soft and use coconut yogurt with cinnamon bingo no problems no burn or nausea. I use Almond milk from Aldi Inner goodness it’s really great no stomach issues. Take care I’ll pray for your health.

He's not really current on fasting protocols. I have chronic pancreatitis and you have to dry fast for 3 days when you have an attack - the hospital forces you to do this. Also, I have done a 60 day juice fast and only had health benefits, my gut biome did not digest my intestines 🙄 could not believe he actually said that smh. Fermented foods have been linked to cancer recently, I'd definitely research that before going whole hog into eating them.

Ok, I am a very ambitious eater and will try almost anything and only have two foods I hate (oatmeal and raw coconut) but this avocado toast with balsamic vinegar and sauerkraut sounds absolutely nasty. Still, I will try it if you recommend it but hope I don’t hurl. Do you recommend sourdough or some particular bread?

I’ve been vegetarian for over 30 years, and I just started a total plant-based and vegan diet at home. Two years ago I had a diverticulitis flareup. None of the contributing causes apply to me, I don’t eat meat, drink, plenty of water, I get plenty of exercise. Just this week I had another flareup that has been debilitating to the point where I’ve been pretty much in bed for four days straight. What could be the cause and how do I illuminate having this problem in the future.

I hear you say, "Fiber Paradox." I was just trying to follow the, "Plant Paradox," by Dr. Steven Gundry. What are your thoughts on lectins? It makes sense. BUT...contrary to FODMAP guidelines, Dr. Gundry is a huge proponent of all onions in the diet. Last night I was making one of the recipes and bloated up to oblivion. I am still in pain this morning

I did his.."Gundry" diet for a year and never got rid of the heartburn until I started following The Medical medium drinking celery juice every morning for 6 months & drinking smoothies everyday blueberry banana and cilantro with spirulina, and barley green. I also found I can't eat eggs, or morning foods without getting sick to my stomach. I stick with celery or a smoothie. I am looking fwd to avocado toast however it will be a dinner meal. I am looking fwd to Doc B. meals.

What if you are sensitive to avocado because of the histamines, if you mix it with the balsamic vinegar does it dilute the histamine effect

No, balsamic vinegar is high in histamine.
