At 1:37 you're thinking of Matt Wachter who was in 30 seconds to mars and joined AvA in the early days of AvA. The bassist now is Matt Rubano, who is probably best known for being in Taking Back Sunday.
Angels and Airwaves- A Littles Enough. Similiar structure where the chorus comes in at the end. I think he enjoys doing that with some of his songs. I recommend giving that one a listen. It is easily my favorite by them.
A little is enough is nothing like this. The chorus is there in euphoria all they did was double time it at the end of the song and play it twice. A little is enough literally has the chorus only at the end. Not even close.
You are correct Matt Wachter who was previously in 30STM was the bassist for AVA between 2007-2014 and briefly again in 2018. The bassist since 2019 has been Matt Rubano previously from the band Taking Back Sunday. The drummer is a guy called Ilan Rubin. He has been a touring member of nine inch nails since 2009 and in 2020 became the youngest inductee into the rock n roll hall of fame in its history aged only 31. He has also drummed on albums for Paramore in the past :)
Normally I like it a little more heavy...but to my own surprise I really like this one. Would love if u could get time to check the songs below out: JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) One Take Vocal Performance Heilung | LIFA - Krigsgaldr LIVE In This Moment - Big Bad Wolf (Official Video)
I mean, I could listen to Tom DeLonge sing anything but this is just so far off of expectations that it's difficult to get into on a first listen. I suspect that if I hear it more often it will grow on me.

To any non casual AVA song this isn’t a surprise.
