Some of the techniques in this video has previously been presented as a part of video tutorials on other topics, or previously presented alone, but in this video been revised with improved techniques. You are not human- You are an artistic machine from another world!!!.. I cannot get enough of your videos!!.. I love them very much and you are an absolute artist...
Really liked the cobblestone technique....
One of the best and more informative channels on UA-cam. Always enjoy this guy’s tutorials. Seems like a really nice guy to boot.
This video was randomly on my recommendation..don't know why? I've never built a train set in my life never mind a 3D world to accompany 1..after watching this video I'm interested :-)
Model/toy Trains are allways fun!!!! I allways find the bigger sizes like 0 Guage to be the most fun! But they can be costly. So do what you will. But model trains are super fun go try it!
It's called world's best hobby for a reason
same here
Me too!!
Be careful... you could easily get the fever of that’s hard to shake off! 😁
After years of buying three monthly railway magazine I find your you tube channel the best keep up the good work mark
Just getting back into HO scale after 30 years. Wow.. So much change. Awesome video. Very well done!
Great tutorial! I really like the disused track with the asphalt patches. Thanks for sharing these really helpful techniques.
This was a great help Mark. Did my first ballasting last year and it didn't go that well. seeing you do it gave me confidence to try again, at least at level 1. Thanks again!
I'm always looking forward to your tutorials. This one on ballasting I can't wait to try in my switch yard on my layout at home. Thanks so much for posting.
Great video as always man, I'll have to try to remember this for when I get around to building my layout
Hej Martin! Perfect timing for your tutorial, in short im going to ballast my main rails. So i can perfectly use your tips! greets, xflow
Looks awesome and real, love the "cobblestone with asphalt'...😍😍
Looks great. Cant wait to finish my house so I can start my layout
The red cobblestone reminds me in my childhood growing up in Bronx, New York. It also in a Walthers cobblestone red brick street scene. Ahhh wonderful 📹 video ☺
Nice. I always have had a soft spot for continental models.. I lived in the Netherlands for 3 years with my job, and bought loads of Dutch models.
This is a harbour "der Extraklasse"!!! Lovely work once again!
Wonderful, the most important techniques compressed in one video. Clear and understandable
Martin, Hello! & Thank You For The Post.
Wow, that's an insane amount of detail and work for a foot or two of track 👏👏👏
I listen to your videos to help myself fall asleep because I have sleep trouble and your voice is amazing.
Thanks. A lot.
You make this look easy, which tells me that you're a master at it. I'm just starting out (just finished designing the track layout), so I'm excited to try some of these techniques. Thanks for the help!
Simply amazing. Thank you for sharing !!!.
Merci pour ces petites astuces et le magnifique décors que vous nous montrez. --- Thank you for these little tips and the beautiful scenery you are showing us.
This is what I need for my new ho scale model I’m making thx
Absolutely brilliant tutorial! Thank you very much!
Hi Mark.. Good to see you...
The tutorial is the best ! Thank you for posting !
I appreciate your talent and your patience. While you're doing all this I set up all my trackwork and I'm running my trains while you're still fooling around with ballasting. LOL thanks for posting
Helt otroligt , super ! Detta ger mersmak och man vill verkligen bygga vidare på sin anläggning . Tack för en super välgjord instruktions video .

Hello, your tutorials are really great! I have an oo gauge railway and my grandad has a gauge 1 railway (Im on his account) and we love watching your videos together! :D All the best, Ellerker and grandad
I never would have thought use clay for concrete between the rails. Nice job. I learned something new today.
Man this looks so satisfying.
Wie immer ein Super Video
Ein Dankeschön an dieser Seite 👍👍👍👍
Hi Mark. Incredible work, you have a great talent. Thank you for your great videos. They are very informative and you provide great ideas. I am modeling my O scale set after the Cass Scenic RR. I am using Ross track which I weather the ties by scraping with an X-acto knife, then used acrylic paints and washes. The rails were painted with burnt umber solid, then misted with rust using an air brush both times. The MIG acrylic asphalt you mentioned is brilliant which I will be adding to my track modeling the grease streaks the Shay locomotives leave on the track. Thank you for all the great ideas and inspiration for my set!
Very much enjoyed it. Inspirational. Still a little while off before I get to put this in practice!
thankyou for showing us a cheap way to make a rock face. good job and the bloopers yep the struggle is real lol
I love the way your trains run so slowly. Normally a train running so slowly is usually jerky
What a fantastic guy, very clear tutorial and he's a credit to UA-cam videos and the Model Railway Hobby...
Really nice and simple painting techniques, looks great :)
Subscribed!! 👍👍 I will be building my very first true HO layout. I been collecting 30 + years for the day I would have the space to build a big layout. That time is here and I have my benchwork built at 20’ X 17’ X 20’ with a return inlet of 8’ X 6’. I will be using some of your videos as reference as I begin this journey.
Great work!! Lots and lots to learn from you. Cheers.
... your channel is one of the best on YT on the rail models topic !!!
Thank you! You’re among the best viewers taking your time to post positive feedback! Wish you a nice weekend!

Another wonderful video. Just an FYI, Woodland Scenics makes a nice rust pen.
This should carry a warning on addiction potential lol it’s great 👍🏻
Again, wonderful results with simple materials. You inspire my modeling and give me ideas for making it better! Thank you.
Thank you. Another superb tutorial. Big thumbs up!

VERY AMAZING MINI RAIL...
Amazing! GREAT JOB!
Fascinating. Your voice is like ASMR. I feel i've been hypnotised in to buying a train set !! Ha ha.
There's more to a Trainset, you always have to get new resources, I've been searching for some stuff for months now!
Beautiful work made easy.
Parabéns... perfeito... saudações do Brasil....
Muy util Los videos que compartido con nosotros. Muchas graciasssss
Outstanding video
Great video. Thanks!
This was a very interesting and informative video 📹👍. I like the concrete idea 💡and the cobble stone idea; I must try them. Cheers 🍻
Excellent guide
Thanks for another awesome tutorial! For peeling the thin clay off the table, try using an artist's pallet knife instead of a hobby knife. They've got nice thin blades and an offset handle that would work perfectly. They have lots of great hobby uses.
Waxed paper might do the trick also
You are a true artist genius.
I want a whole railway with this as well
You are amazing. Good job.
quite brilliant ! - many thanks
Beautiful layout
Guau!!! Amazing tutorial.
Amazing, great job
Brilliant!
Thank you! I think I like the clay method more than drywall mud (gypsum joint compound). I'm anxious to try it!
Amazing! Enjoyed watching :)
