:D Yeah.. They were a challage, but I think it paid off compared to a fixed open gate. Wish you a nice weekend!

A very nice video tutorial on fence making in HO scale. I also use a lot of beer cans cut apart for my metal pieces. I'm presently working on a water tower to use in O scale to service the tender. I used 3 packing tape centers approx. 3 1/2 to 4 inches in diameter and glued them together. After painting them brown I cut some thin strips of beer can to use as three bands around the perimeter of the water tower. I made a platform out of trimmed popcycle sticks (cut the round part off) with some diagonal bracing using florist sticks painted grey and dry brushed with brown. The legs of the platform I made out of some round wooden dowels. So far it looks very good. I'm gonna roll up some of the beer can and use some quick set glue to make a spout. I like your hinges and that gave me the idea to use that procedure to make a hinge for the spout. Now I've got to get some chain to add to the spout.

Been modeling for many years and it's been a while since my HO scale days. Those hinges blew me away, very impressive. I guess the longer you do it, the less you like "Pre-Packaged" items and learn to engineer amazing things. That was impressive... now I know I am not the only detail oriented modeling fanatic.

Love your videos! Your humor, with plank fencing being not so sexy, gave me a chuckle. 😂 The fence is actually quite good looking! It looks so real. Plus you gave us another use for empty soda cans. A very good use for them. I can’t wait to try this!

Good video as always! I spy a Volvo Amazone...+++! I'd be careful about using steel wool anywhere near a model railroad...the minuscule metal particles can get sucked into any magnetic mechanisms (Lokos, Signals Mag couplers etc.), and will wreck havoc in any of them...I recommend instead using non-magnetic scotchbrite scrubbing pads with the same result. The micro hinges were super...I'm going to have to try some of that (but no cigarettes or caffeine before!)...Skol from Connecticut!
