I plow the 403 and QEW and the past major storm we had last week a car decided to try and get ahead not noticing the other plows and ended up trying to swerve out of the way hitting the guardrail. We just kept on moving.

When a country is snow based ya they will strive to be the best at it. Try living in a country that faces every season a year and only has snow 2-3 months at most then come talk to me about something not being done correctly. The Us faces shit Canada has never seen and will never see and yet we are and i quote "still on top" cost wise compared to Canada. Canada has the budget for the snow why because its an over priced country to live in. The Us don't need a crazy high budget for snow as it don't need it. Why they using blue lights?
In some locales, DOT vehicles and wreckers are considered emergency vehicles and authorized blue lights. Especially in Canada. It's universal: you see blue lights, slow down, pull over.
Blue lights in Ontario is actually reserved for snow removal vehicles in a non emergency capacity. Police will use blue and red and EMS/Fire is red ,white and yellow are considered emergency lights. Red is our primary emergency light color tho. Yellow is construction and those types of vehicles. Purple is funeral.

Red is emergency, blue, is found on some police cars as a secondary color. Single blue is non emergency and reserved for snow plows. It's on our MTO guidelines.

Seems to me there's plenty of snow on the shoulders. Looks like they're working on cleaning left and right shoulders. It's so when your dumbass gets wrecked real men can come quicker and cut you out of the metal can you used to call a vehicle.
They block the road to make sure people don't stupidly drive on poor roads.
