Hello. Yes I’ve been using the buddy heater for a couple years on and off now with camping. You can find them a little cheaper during the summer. When not using It’s important to keep them covered from dust or debris for it to have a long operating use. Cheers
Kevin, nicely balanced set of plans. Looks like you have thought out all the basic categories and got a good start as well as redundancies in staying versus going. I did have a question, have you ever actually figured how many meals or days that food would last you? I also see you have water, but would ask the same question there as well. One thing I have done is in my small little camper my plan is to put a couple of containers of rice and beans in there. It won't take up any space in the house and I am generally staying at the same place as the camper so I could always bring it back in the house if needed. Thanks, and great video
Yes same. Glad to hear you have a camper to. Not just used for recreation but as an emergency shelter. I have a few things ready to go in camper. Stored food can go bad faster in those uncontrolled temps. I worry about mice too. So not too much stored in the camper. I’m looking to prep more over the next few months. Thinking of doing gasoline storage aswell. Most items stored in my household have a minimum of two year shelflife. As I buy extra food storage I will rotate them to keep up to date. As of now I’m just storing foods that would last a couple months in case of a disaster. Thanks for sharing.
I place a whole bag of flour in a 5 gallon bucket in it's orginal packaging(flour bag is not air tight). I place a 3000cc oxygen absorber in the bucket, cover it then use my vaccum sealer to seal the bucket. Yes, you can actually do that! Check UA-cam for tutorial) I also put a bay leaf inside the bucket to deter bugs. I use food grade buckets that I can buy used for $3 cdn with the lids. I just bought 25 buckets for $75 cdn.
my entire county is on a boil water alert due to busted water pipes. Thank God I had serval gallons of fresh water bottled/jugged stashed away my wife laughed at me until the stuff came into use.
You should start pressure canning your food , you will lose most of what you are storing in refrigerator. Also going into winter you will need things to keep you warm and a lot more water . Foods high in protein . Camping supplies , when civil unrest happens you won’t be staying in your house . There will be no food in the stores , no medications ect. God Bless

This year will bring an epic world wide crippling blow bringing in famine and pestilence, water supplies will be poisoned , food will be gone because of civil unrest . God bless

Yes sir. A perfect example to prep is my neighbors pipes froze, and some counties in my area are on a boiling water safety notice.
