I've been using Friction Gloves for over 2 years in the cold and wet and I agree 99% with your review. I throw 99% of my shots forehand and have never noticed the seem as an issue.
My friend (who is a lefty) gave me his right friction glove and i personally think they are pretty amazing. I never worry about my grip on any disc. I also use a warm glove for my left hand, the friction glove is so far warm enough for me(I live in Michigan) we have pretty cold winters(not as cold as Minnesota's) so hand warmers and jacket pockets work great on the very cold days. Thanks for the video!
In case anyone stumbles across this looking for the ultimate gloves, the biggest difference is really just increased durability since ultimate players tend to be laying out and sliding on the ground more often. They also help a little bit with catching in wet conditions.
Used the friction gloves for over two years. I play 4-6 times a week. The are fantastic out of the box but rarely last me more than 4 months as the index and middle finger tips wear down fast. I switched to Layout Ultimate Frisbee gloves in 2020 and they have a better fit, the same grip and have lasted me 7 months so far and are holding up much better.

Yeah, I imagine it will vary a whole lot depending on your grip. Glad to hear it's not a guarantee that it's noticeable though for some!

That's a fantastic idea. I should have paired up with a lefty!

Thanks for the insight! A good wet/icy teepad will lay a person out pretty good, but probably still a bit less often ;)

Good to know! So far mine have held up, but I'll give those a try next
Yeah I found most gloves aren’t great for forehands. Nice review 👍
Thanks for watching :)
I dont know why disc golf gloves wouldnt have the seam out of the way of forehand.
I spy a wander hat!
Yes you do! Probably due for a new one as that one's got a pretty nasty sweat ring going on now 🤣
