At the end of the video I go over all the decks and Ideas we brewed and this link is to the 2 hours of brewing with twitch chat. It might answer any questions on WHY we tried this direction www.twitch.tv/videos/2341615992
Wonder if some number of Delighted Halfling and GSZ would help the deck a bit. EDIT: or if there's a possibility of making a midrange deck with Survival so you don't have to run all 4 of the Nomads
In Legacy I prefer the turbo "Elves" version with Gaea's Cradle, Allosaurus Shepherd, GSZ, and Chord of Calling. Perhaps something like that could work in Vintage?
With reference to your last video, I feel like Nadu should be one of those cards that is a counterpoint to lurrus, a strong 3+ drop, maybe the problem is just finding the right activator, something maybe with less activations than nomads but more useful overall?
@@IamActuallyLvL1 The dig helps i think and i think the 1st sun is better then the 4th ouphe(maybe a lavinia depending on how you value them), to have less games where the nomads are a dead card. A sun might be better then the 4th nardu aswell.
First match you got outvarianced hard. Opponent drawing well above average whereas you drawing extremely poorly. Set the tone for the rest of the video where draws just didn't come together. Couple thoughts: Is there any way to fit wasteland and lorien revealed in there? It feels like that would go really well with ouphe and lavinia to give us a credible mana denial plan. Seems like that is pretty much required for any non-combo deck. Phelia is probably better than bristly bill.
We brewed so hard and got so far. But, in the end. It doesn't even matter. I mulligan'd my hands, to find the bird. But, in the end. It doesn't even matterrrr.

6:00 "Colors are fake just put cards in your deck" - Somebody talking about modern probably.
Lurrus decks are so prominent in vintage that i run 4 swords to plowshares and 1 fatal push lol
yup! good thing for the format imo

a DRS GSZ was one of the builds we made

It's hard to play no force of will in vintage
Nadu didn't hit the table a single time during this video.... ooof.
classic justin attempts to make a video
why is there a Dryad Arbor in the deck?
Important to be fetchable to combo with nadu
what a ride XD
Welcome to Hasbro's Magic: the Gathering where the mana bases are made up and the color requirements don't matter.

chat and I looked quite hard and didnt find anything we liked.
What if your Nomads were Stoneforge Mystic and a Shuko...
Collector ouphe
I think it would be easier to play Nadu Breakfast than Oko and trying to midrange it out. Let’s have a combo and make it easy on ourselves.
i have a video for that already!
i think it needs green sun so the combo is more consistent, otherwise it just seems like a bad combo deck
the idea here was not to be a full or all in combo deck but more of a bug midrange/hatebear blue deck

This deck looks fairly reasonable, bant/bug shells have done decent in the past/even current meta. Variance was definitely not on your side haha

We brewed so hard and I don't think it paid off 😅

So the plan with this deck is to draw our two card combo naturally (with 8 Cantrips) without any redundance or tutors?
That's not a good plan.
Very normal deckbuilding actually
We dont need vintage nadu
Nadu is very fun and interesting card. Would love to see it work here
