- Madras Cardamom is part of Ermenegildo Zegna's Essenze collection. It's a very nice scent but the performance is lacking.

Lovely review Raj. Haven't tried this line but there are a couple i have been interested in i.e. the patchouli and the bergamot.
They use good ingredients. I think that a lot of the line has been discontinued though.
Really enjoy this one. And yes it’s extremely versatile and I find myself reaching for it quite often
That's good to hear. Thanks for your comment.
I do enjoy Turkish / Arabic coffee with cardamom very much because of my heritage & this fragrance sounds beautiful . Thank you for this great review & I am definitely sampling this one soon .
What's your heritage?
The Scentient Man Syrian from Damascus :)
Good to know. Obviously I haven't been but have been to Lebanon and Jordan.
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm gonna try it have a blessed day
Thanks for watching , Michael.
You welcome keep up the good work
great review! i came across this one on my search for the perfect coffee scent funny enough. and as far as coffee goes it's actually rather good, though that hunt ended with Akro's Awake which also features cardamom but in more a supporting role. the expensive zegna line was relaunched in EDP concentration and in the process quite a few of them including mandarin were discontinued.
I'll have to check out that Akro and the rest from the line. It's a shame Mandarin was discontinued. It was a good one.
@@TheScentientMan yeah mandarin was tops! Akro is a hard line to sample but i'd be happy to hook you up some Awake if it sounds interesting. the others are a bit more abstract it seems and not as good. i also have a bunch of samples of the reformed Italian Bergamot, performance is quite a bit better than the original EDT.
Thanks for the offer. I’ll read up on it first. I think Sebastian reviewed them so I’ll check out his video.
Not sure what the retail price is on this, but it’s $160 discounted! That’s a bit too high for me. You can buy some fantastic fragrances for that price. Your review, on the other hand, is priceless!🙂 Cheers, Raj.
Haha thank you!
Great notes in this one, pity about the performance though. I couldn’t find the link to you favourite notes video. 👍🏼
If you click on the ‘i’ in the top right it should be there. You might have to scroll up.
The Scentient Man Got it! I learned something new today! Lol
Haha yeah I think YT need to improve this feature. You can link up to five videos but depending on the platform you view on it's easy to not see all five.
Thats to bad. I used to have the original Indonesian oud and really enjoyed it, but traded for something else, it was very oud ispahan like which I now own and love so I wouldn't re buy IO 🤔 however I was curious how the performance may have changed since they relaunched these in EDP format. Thanks for the review 🙏
Indonesian Oud scares me! It's a bit much on my skin. Thanks for watching, Jeremy.
@@TheScentientMan Just noticed that OI (oud ispahan) & IO (Indonesian oud) 🤔 mind blown lol they are both very similar to one another, definitely big frags.
I do enjoy the brand but I was disappointed quite a bit from this release. Bought it and NOT worth the money.
Oh that's a shame.
Is the cardamon like the one in la nuit de l'homme
No it’s stronger and comes across as spicier but also smooth. But if you like La Nuit i’d try this one but bear in mind it’s different.
Nice review friend do you try Italian bergamot if you did let me know your thoughts please thank you
Italian Bergamot is a very nice fragrance. One of the best in its category. It's very simple and that's what this Zegna line does. One great quality ingredient which takes centre stage. They have a more affordable alternative called Aqua Bergamotto (something like that). Both are worth trying.
@@TheScentientMan i own Acqua de bergamot. Do they smell similar? And thank you for answering back brother
@@sopito7883 I think so but haven’t done a side by side comparison. I’ve tried them both at different times and I thought it was strange that they had two similar smelling fragrances.
Cardamom goes better with Chai Tea.
Yes definitely. There’s something very relaxing about a cup of chai.
Nice fragrance. Lasts about 30 mins on my skin. Not worth the money. Just cardamom. Nothing else. 100 % Rip off. Mentholated? Are you just throwing words in to make your review sound impressive. Spiced coffee? What a load of crap. The whole range is garbage. There is no coffee. There is no wood. Vanilla?. There is just one note, cardamom.
I’d never do that. If that’s what I smell then I’ll say it.
