Two words to describe those old Guerlains is complex simplicity. Not exactly understated, but nothing showy either. Just the right balance. That 1881 also gets compared to the Amber version from 2002. Liquid colour looks pretty similar too. Would love to smell both.
Stellar rotation. I have a bunch of the Cerruti 1881s, but not the Intense version. I wish I could get a bottle. I was never huge fan of Midnight in Paris, but I still have a bottle of the EDT and EDP. I purchased something like a dozen bottles when they were selling for under $25 and my three daughters stole all by two. They love wearing this scent and, to be honest, it smells fantastic on the ladies. Cheers!
Wore Molecule 02 today and 01 yesterday. Trying to rotate through my collection and give all of them some wearing, haven't put a dent in them since I began this hobby in 2019, happens once your collection grows past a certain threshold.
Those new guerlains are now $360 and $560 for 200ml. Really outrageous. I bought all the ones I wanted. I didn’t get cuir beluga because that note of heliotrope scared me. Some stuff I wore was poivre 23, benjoin 19, Musc 25
@@TheScentientMan yep plus tax will bring to $400 and $600. Yeah, I’ve been enjoying the city exclusives in September. Their gone now, which is good probably. Really expensive

Yeah you’re right. I used to have a bigger collection and didn’t like the fact that many bottles were barely used.

I guess you have to add state taxes to that price too. I see you’ve been into the Le Labo city exclusives recently.
