Well, nothing like sitting down with a good cup of coffee and another great venture with the Nolans. Thanks for getting our day off to a great start! Oh, and thanks for the camera info on the previous video.
Thank you! That's very cool that you saw him as well. A perfect eating spot for him it seemed 👍 A treat for us to happen to be in the area while he did his thing. A gorgeous day in Many Glacier ⛰
We love Many Glacier Lodge and that surrounding area. We have hiked Grinell Glacier and Lake, as well as Iceberg Lake many times. That is a very special place, and yes we usually see moose, bear, goat, big horns, etc. a lot in that area. It's also a great time to horseback ride there.
Me and my family were there yesterday and saw mama and baby moose at Lake Josephine. It was a beautiful hike up to Grinnell Glacier .. On the way back, they rerouted us because of two grizzlies procreating on the trail .. But if that didn't happen, we wouldn't have seen the Moose :)
Arm Day!! My husband and I enjoy all of your videos. So well done, and so informative. I ran into you last summer on the Hidden Lake Trail, because I recognized your voices. Keep up the great work!
Beautiful footage!! Thanks so much for sharing! Definitely want to paddle Lake Josephine next week. Where did you get the AIS inspection for that lake?
We got to do it! It was soooo beautiful. Even got to see a moose (a younger bull than you guys saw) coming to eat at Stump Lake on our way back. Water levels in September were lower so we had to walk pulling our kayaks upstream between Swiftcurrent & Stump Lake but it was TOTALLY worth the effort. I wouldn’t have known to drag my family of 5 up there to do this if it hadn’t have been for your video! Thanks to you we have priceless memories and lots of photos of that little adventure. 🙏
@@nolanventures473 No kidding, it sure looks it~~~~ We're gonna check out those kayaks too....although crisscrossing this great nation of ours in a Honda Pilot does have it's "space" limitations...
The water is so clear! I need your suggestion on entering the west end at 5:00 am to Logan Pass ? This will be in September. Is it advantageous to come in on East side? I have 3 hikes in the East side and only one in Logan Pass.
I feel it highly depends in where you are staying and personal preference as far as getting to Logan Pass goes. All are good choices as the most of the drives are scenic. Logan Pass seems to fill up fast lately so keep that in mind. Thanks and hope it works out well for you.
Wow, what an amazing day! Those lake reflections were outrageous! Did you have to have the kayaks inspected for invasives? If so, were did you have the inspection?
As long as it is inspected and the tag they put on your watercraft covers that day you can. Check with the many glacier ranger station to see if they would inspect it the day before and give you a two day tag so you could launch early.
The great thing about kayaking is that you can make it as long or short as you like. We take our time and are usually on the water 2-4 hours with stoppages occasionally. Part of a morning or afternoon would suffice I think. Enjoy!
I was in that area to attempt to see if it would be possible to go up the creek toward lower Grinnell. Decided not to paddle up there when we saw the moose coming in to eat, but I wish I had waited it out and paddled further in after he left. Would like to know if that part of the creek is passable however. It's on my wish list for sure. Thank you!
Thank you! This is a trip I would like to do. I’m from the south east and I thought it was April by the look but know things look different the further north you travel. I also wonder about day temps, night temps, along with the water temperatures. We southerners are not quite as use to the lower water temps.(actually all lower temps) From personal experience, I tend to need to dress a little warmer than northerners. Of course when northerner’s are carrying on about heat down here we chuckle too!
Very minimal. One small section of about 20 yards but could have just walked them through the creek - in fact, we did that on the return trip. Thank you and enjoy the wilderness.
SO cool with the moose just feeding right by you guys!! I have to ask, since you went through a couple of lake inflow/outflows, How many trout did you see??
Didn’t know you could paddle through to Josephine. Nice Moose and backdrop! Paddle on brothers.
Moose was great timing! Thank you
Beautiful videography. Can't beat those views and that moose. :) Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks!
Wow!!! You two got very lucky with that trip. I always wanted to do what you did here.
It was fantastic
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing another beautiful way to experience Glacier beauty!
Glad you enjoyed it! Happy trails
Agreed, it truly is another great way to enjoy/explore Glacier, thank you for that comment. Very much appreciated, enjoy ⛰
Very soothing video. Causes stress to just melt away. Well done, Scott.
Many thanks!
Doesn’t get much better than that. Beautiful!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. What a beautiful video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved it! Picked a perfect day for your outing.
It was - thank you

That is very cool. We are glad you enjoy our adventures. Have a great day and enjoy the wilderness.
Appreciate this comment, that's awesome, thank you!
Wow, You sure knocked it out of the park with this guys! Wish they rented the yaks there! Guess I need to get a trailer for my motorcycle!
They do rent them there. Thanks.
Such incredible reflections, what a dream of an adventure, especially with that moose sighting!
It was fantastic. Thank you.
Very beautiful - nice filming job...as usual. Thanks for sharin!
Thank you very much!
We had fun with this one, thank you for the kind words, we appreciate it 👍⛰ Enjoy the wilderness!
Amazing video!
Thank you! The conditions allowed for beautiful views on this day.
Thank you!
We saw that moose hiking Grinnel at the end of June. That is some amazing scenery! He was right in that area - he was far away from us though.
Lots of wildlife in that area. Thank you.
Thank you! That's very cool that you saw him as well. A perfect eating spot for him it seemed 👍 A treat for us to happen to be in the area while he did his thing. A gorgeous day in Many Glacier ⛰
Breathtaking views. What a beautiful day to kayak and enjoy the stunning views of Montana. Outstanding video.
Glad you enjoyed it

Def. adding THIS to the ol' bucket list~~~ Never knew about Stump Lake! Was this a recent paddle---or earlier in June? Thanx!
This was 7/20/23. It is fantastic.

I’m looking to do this trip this summer. How long did it take and how far was it?
Wow, what an amazing day! Those lake reflections were outrageous! Did you have to have the kayaks inspected for invasives? If so, were did you have the inspection?
It was a great day! They do the inspections at the ranger station in Many Glacier starting at 7:30 am.

What are you using to film with? The clarity is unbelievable!! Nice job! Heading there in September.
We use a GoPro Hero 11. Enjoy your time in Glacier and Montana. Thank you!

How long would you say you need to do this paddle? We're heading out there end of the month and planning a day on the water. This looks perfect.

What she said
I did that in a canoe over 40 years ago. Did you explore the possibility of going up the creek toward Grinnell Lake?
Very cool! We were going to head up that way. A bull moose blocked the way for quite awhile. So we just chilled and headed back.
I was in that area to attempt to see if it would be possible to go up the creek toward lower Grinnell. I assume you guys live near glacier since you are always there?
What time of year did you go.
July
