    Heading there this summer for my 3rd and probably final trip. I'm 78 and a great-grandma, I still tent camp in the backpacker-hiker sites. I love that they provide shuttles so I can travel around the Park at will. I travel by train from Colorado. It's an epic trip, clearly my favorite. I live in Colorado and wouldn't live anywhere else, but Glacier owns a big part of my heart. You do an excellent job with your videos. Thank you.

      thanks again for your comment. You sound like my. She did the same thing with a friend when she was in her mid-70's. I hope I'm able to camp when I'm 78.

      Thank you so much! and thanks for subscribing. It's very nice to hear the work is appreciated! btw- as you may know this video includes segments from the complete glacier guide (that's up to 2 hrs long depending on the version) if you haven't watched it already you should. Skip the the many glacier segments you seen. If you're a hiker my 50 hikes in glacier is a good resource.

    Love from Mississauga, Ontario! It is an informative video! My family would love to be here, but it is just that traveling that far west is a challenge.

    Hi Steve, as you know frpm your frequent trips to Glacier, I would suggest that the Many Glacier area likely has the largest concentration of great hikes in the continental US.

    But to bathe, is it necessary to make a reservation to bathe in some lakes first? or is it free access??

    I will be traveling to Glacier NP in July 2025. I am very interested in trying to see moose at Fishercap Lake. Approximately what time of day do you refer to when you say that moose frequent the lake nearly every evening, Is there a time window that I should plan to be there. Thanks in advance.

    Did you have to get a permit to film this video? Lots of creators don’t go to national parks due to the tremendous amount of hoops you have to jump thru to film there. Be careful !

    • @TheWestisBig
      @TheWestisBig  6 місяців тому +3

      i’ve made a very detailed video on the grossly unfair Filming permit rules for national parks. I spoken to the GNP Ranger in charge of permits- and he doesn’t like dealing with the filming permits either. At other parks Rangers have told me to keep a low profile. and all this footage was shot before that unjust law went into effect.

      @@TheWestisBig thanks! I was genuinely curious how true it was and how they regulate it anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️
