  • I've been waiting a long time for the Red Komodo, and wanted to just show what I got!
    In this video, I'll be showing what's inside the Red Komodo Production Pack w/ the extra purchase of a 2 Redvolt BP's and 512 GB Cfast.
    It's my very first Red, so I was excited when something budget friendly like the Komodo came out. Still expensive on my wallet, but much cheaper than all the other RED's that are out there and portable as well. I paid a total of $9,069.00 and feel like it has changed how i work, and it's my very first high-end, professional cinema camera.
    RED KOMODO PRODUCTION PACK:
    KOMODO 6K Camera System
    KOMODO Outrigger Handle
    KOMODO Wing Grip
    KOMODO Expander Module
    RED PRO CFast 512GB
    RED PTap-to-Power Cable 6'
    Canon Drop-In Clear Filter
    Canon RF to EF Adapter w/Variable ND Filter
    1 Year Warranty :)

      @@artdoneus so to be honest, I want this UA-cam channel to be more amateur. Just a lot of random things that don’t take too much effort but still enjoy editing and piecing together. I wanna show more of my character.
      For work, I shoot with a lot of musicians. I go on tour a lot with kpop artists and American hip hop artists as well.
      Currently I’m working on a few commercial projects through an agency. Nowadays a lot of nba stuff and content for 300 ent label.

    I heard that there is a monitor that can control KOMODO wirelessly. It seems to be specially made for KOMODO. Does anyone know?
    Its brand seems to be called PORTKEYS, and its model seems to be BM5 WR. If you have used it, please introduce it. How does it feel to use it with KOMODO?
    I want to buy one and try it recently, thank you!

      Thank you so much, I appreciate that a lot.
      I’ve used the Komodo a couple times for work, and I’m currently just learning the davinci program to color my footage better.
      A lot of my videos on UA-cam are just moments I enjoy through my iPhone. Something very personal... but I do hope to upload a bunch of footages with my Komodo very soon. I just want to make sure to color the scenes professionally.
      Thank you for subscribing and I hope to see you back real soon. Appreciate the UA-cam community.

    What lenses would you recommend for making films using this camera? I'm a film student, and just trying to get started on understanding this stuff.

    • @looie.k
      @looie.k  2 роки тому

      Depends on what you’re trying to film. I like to be versatile on set. Personally I like having the 24-70 f2.8 rf lens by canon or the 24-105. But many would prefer vintage Leica lenses or I’ve seen many people use the SIRUI lenses as well.

      @@looie.k I work in green screen and my goal is to film action and Sci Fi films. Mostly future shots. Where I then chroma key the characters out and place them in Unreal Engine 5. I used to work in Blender but then discovered the live action composting and the ability to use all the assets commercially in Unreal Engine and so now I need a better quality camera. Does the lens matter a lot for green screen work?

    Wow £9000 already without monitor and cage? So for even a basic low budget music video, one needs to spend no less than £10,000. From my experience with the P6K Pro, one needs at least 1TB cfast card and 9 hour battery life for the whole day so thats 6 batteries, monitor and cage.

    • @looie.k
      @looie.k  3 роки тому

      Yeah man, I totally understand your pain. We currently work with the P6K Pro at our production team. I'm the only one with the Komodo at the moment, but I gotta say, my experience using the Blackmagic is frustrating.
      Prior to using cinema cameras, I used the Canon 5DMKIV, adobe premiere, and after effects. Black magic made it hard to use all those things. Of course these are just opinions, but im sure if you get your hands on the Komodo you will have a comfortable experience.
      Expensive, but im willing to save and save again to build it lol.

    • @akpevbe
      @akpevbe 3 роки тому +1

      @@looie.k The main reasons i went for the P6K PRO over the Komodo was bcus on big sets we always HIRE the Arri or big Reds. So it made sense to buy the 6K Pro over spending £10,000 on a komodo for PERSONAL PROJECT and LOW BUDGET videos. I Can NEVER replace the ARRI or big RED with a Komodo on a big set, but i can use either a komodo or a P6K Pro as a B cam on big sets.
      So for me komodo or P6K Pro are strickly for Low budget stuff.

    • @looie.k
      @looie.k  3 роки тому +1

      @@akpevbe yeah there’s no argument there. I have yet to put my hands on an arri, and the only other RED I ever used was a red ranger.

    Open it quickly before Red releases yet another confusing product and drops this product. Soon there wont be enough words left in the dictionary to name all the different Red cameras. And there are still no XLR inputs. I'd rather get an FS7 anytime.
