  • Wicking correctly makes the whole difference between enjoyable & flavourful vape to a flooding, leaking & dull or burnt flavour nightmare. In this video I will try to address this crucial issue in detail.
    Also many vapers who want to upgrade from MTL stock coil to a MTL RTA ask me what to buy, or for vapers who already use a MTL RTA, the most common question is, which RTA is better X or Y or maybe Z!! So in the video I would try and guide you with a few simple clues on how to choose your first or next MTL RTA, so when you do finally decide you would be happy with your purchase and not feel you wasted your heard earned money on something you’re not fully happy with. I hope these topics are beneficial.
    Please feel free to comment on your preferences, methods & chosen MTL RTA.

    Thank you for the abundance of knowledge you share with us on your channel. I started vaping almost 5 months ago and have watched many videos but didn't really learn anything. Unfortunately I kept skipping your videos because I thought they were too long. Boy was I wrong. I've learnt more watching 3 of your videos than I did from months of watching all the other videos from other channels. However, after watching you everything just clicked. The clouds parted, the light shun through and the choir sang. I'm no longer frustrated and trying to get things working. I am finally able to use all the tanks I've purchased and understand how to tweak them just so and am enjoying flavors that were just out of reach until I decided to see what you had to say. I feel like I'm rambling. I cant thank you enough. I feel like you have given me years of experience and I appreciate you for it. I look forward to watching more of your library and future videos as well. Thank you for all you do for the vaping community. Cheers!

    The thinner side of wicking is often just from rolling to a point for feeding through the coil, even the coil it's self can remove some cotton. I find fluffing the pointed end after trim makes them almost even.
    Well instructed.
    Haar needs cotton to be long to press against the top juice inlets, done right the "wells" should remain dryish.

    1 thing i think is also important.
    as an example:
    my kf style 2021 24mm gurgled liquid if i inhaled to hard.
    until i realised that the wicking is so good that i need to fire a second before inhaling so the current liquid can get vaporised before new liquid is pulled in with underpressure from inhaling.
    hope this helps someone. :D

      If I understood your question correctly, if you set up you tank and do not use it for long time. Depends if you have liquid in the tank or not if you do, the liquid after time will lose the flavour and become foul. If the cotton is dry you can leave it for as long as you want.

    Hello Nathan! U have now the Prime for a time.Tell me what are you thoughts about it.for me its a love hate relationship.what type of liquids are you using with it.me ive just set it up with some simple ka1 0.4 on 2.5 .around 0.75 ohms.maybe its just me but i found that prime works better with simple round build from a 0.65-1 ohm maxim.but maybe its just me.regarding the liquids now im using American Blend from La Tabbaccheria and is working good.i was a litlle dissapointed when using it with Latakia witch is my favourite juice because i didnt felt that bitter sweet smokines.What do you tnink about using fire cured liquids on prime

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому

      I mainly vape the Prime with soft & mellow Virginias & burley as my whole day vape. The flavours of these liquids shine on the Prime. I do on occasion vape Latakias on the Prime and it also taste very defined on the prime but the prime will highlight the sweetness, earthy nutty base notes of the liquid & smokey note if present but masking any bitterness ( as you call it) or harshness (as I call it) and that is a good thing for me as I don’t like my vape bitter or harsh. Every MTL has his own delivery of flavours but as a whole flavour profile the prime delivers it perfectly but with out any harshness. As for coils I use simple Kanthal round wire with an ohm 0.8 - 1.0 & Pre-made core or fused clapton 1.0 ohm as well on the Prime,the core clapton coil gives a lovely popping sound when fired that I enjoy, as for the difference in flavours either coil is perfect but in a slight different way, the only way to know what is best for you is to experiment. I hope the above was helpful for you to fully enjoy the amazing MTL that the Kayfun Prime is. As a foot note some MTL like the Spica Pro or the 415 (review coming shortly) or Dvraw and others like the skyline would not mask the full spectrum of the tobacco notes including some underlying bitterness or harshness so Latakias would taste harsher that some vapers including yourself I assume will enjoy

    bro please help me which coil gonna lasts longer for Caliburn G2 with 50 mg or 35 mg saltnic with ratio of 50/50 or 70/30 pg vg? 0.8 1.0 or 1.2 ohms? Please reply sir

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  2 роки тому +2

      @Sameer mantoo. I don’t have the Caliburn G2. Both coils 0.8 & 1.2 ohm probably would last the same time on either ratio liquid 70/30 or 50/50 the only difference between the 2 coils is I assume the tightness of the airflow. So I even if the 1.2ohm coil on 50/50 would last longer for a day or two what did you gain😊 choose what you will enjoy best by trying both and when a coil change is needed just change the coil. (You get both coils in the kit) As a personal preference I would choose the 0.8 ohm on 70/30 but that is what I like.
      50/50 liquids will vape easier on pod coils & stronger throat hit.

    I've been vaping for years with plenty of building experience. I just got the Thunderhead Lauren MTL and I can't keep this thing from leaking. The cotton keeps expanding and moving out of the wick holes. Any less, it leaks and any more it chokes. I'm starting to think it doesn't like the cotton I'm using. I'm using 2.5 mm wrapped coil that came with it (very nicely done) so I doubt that is the issue. Anyone have experience with this thing and advice?
    I watched many videos before I even bought it and the build advice from those aren't working. The main advice I saw that was common was to cut the wick short, just enough to cover the ports but not enough to touch the deck. If I do that the cotton will rise out after the first few heatings. The flavor is great when it's wirking but not being able to actually fill my tank above the deck and be careful to keep it upright is making me hate it.

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  3 роки тому +1

      I would love to help Cyn as i know how frustrating that can be but since i do not have the Thunderhead MTL i cannot advise without seeing your build. So perhaps email me a close up photo of your deck with the wick so i can have a close look. in meantime I hope someone who has the Thunderhead would advise you with a wicking method that works.

    • @CynHicks
      @CynHicks 3 роки тому

      @@netvaper Thank you very much for offering. I may do that soon though last night after going through several different wicks and loosing a lot of juice I noticed that when filling it full the pressure caused from screwing the lid cap was pushing the wicks out immediately. So, I used the old kayfun trick of closing the air while fillling and turning it upside down while reopening it and slowly tilting back upright. Almost 0 leaking at all so far. Hopefully that's all there is to it.
      Edit btw its Tauren not Lauren. I was thinking of a girl I once knew or more accurately wanted to know. Lol

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  3 роки тому +1

      @@CynHicks Of course Cyn I just remembered that on some MTL's when the vacuum is strong never over-fill as that can cause down pressure causing the wick tales to flip upward hence the leaking and the solution is exactly as you did. I use that method with the Spica Pro. Well done & enjoy leak free vaping

    • @CynHicks
      @CynHicks 2 роки тому

Watch my review on the channel titled “how to build your first MTL RTA” there I explain everything. The flavour is much better and when you change the cotton after a few days the flavour is back as a new coil. and you can keep your coils going for much longer. I am not getting any flavour out of my BSKR V2 MTL RTA. Any tips?

    • @netvaper
      @netvaper  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Soumya. As a general rule lack of flavour is a result of too much cotton that causes the liquid to condense at the lower half of the cotton unable to travel further up to the coil so in essence your coil remains dry. Thin out the cotton ends with a sharp end tweezer or scissor and make sure to workout the length of the cotton that they should hang freely in the juice wells and not folded by being too long. I fold the cotton over the lip and make a dent in cotton by pushing against the deck so I can see where to cut. Try the above and see it that solves the flavour issue.

      Don’t worry about a bit of liquid on the 510 plate on the mod that happens on many RTA’s and that is normal. A leaking RTA is When liquid is leaking through the airflow hols enough that you can see it or you feel gurgling when vaping that is a flooded deck. These 2 classic leaking/flooding are due to wicking wrongly that can easily be fixed by either shortening or thinning the cotton. So in your case Stuart Don’t go mad it is perfectly ok to see some liquid that sometimes runs off the 510 pin.
