    I've been meaning to do this video for a while now but an illness set me back some. Finally, I got it done and ready to go!
    We go over 3 styles of wicking RTAs and how to get your wick job just right. Each has a slightly different design to its wicking and are the 3 most common styles you'll run into. We go over wick length, to thin or not thin out your cotton, juicing and firing, wick tuck methods and more. I really hope this helps some people enjoy RTAs more and maybe opens them up to those who usually avoid them.

    By far the best tutorial and explanation on how to get the job done fuckin right. My blaze has been hit and miss since I had it but now shes blazing like a gud un. I didn't realise that the biggest problem was keeping an eye out for them bubbles. Thanks fella.

    Thanks for doing this wicking tutorial video Sorteal! Don't see much of these videos now days that would be great references to people who either struggle with wicking especially with bottom airflow RTA's or who are interested in getting into rebuildables! I have a quick question though. I've heard you stating several times that you like to try new juices, atomizers, ECT... with cheap cotton on Amazon that is pretty good cotton. Is it 13 feets Japanese Organic cotton? If it doesn't have any funky taste and is easy to work with I'll definitely order some if that is infact the brand you use in your lives and reviews.

    • @Sorteal
      @Sorteal  Рік тому +2

      Yeah that's how it's listed on Amazon. The company that makes it is called Amoza. You can search Amoza and find it that way as well.

      @@Sorteal After cutting a piece of the rope off and cutting the rope in half should be about enough for two 3mm coils? Just trying to get a general idea cause I got my Amoza 13 feets cotton in but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. I will tonight when I rewick my Asgard Mini and the RDAFV.

    I am also using amoza cotton, what's your formula for cutting off the correct amount? Do you pull and stretch itlike a scottish roll? Are you peeling the skins off? Sorry if that's covered in the video I have to have sound off

    • @Sorteal
      @Sorteal  Рік тому

      I'm using the Amoza 13 ft strip so no skin to it. I usually cut my wicks a bit long so I can easily measure the length I'm going to need for any RTA. I tend to roll the cotton some before running it through my coils. I'll pull my cotton down to see about where I need to cut it for whichever wick well type I'm using. I will usually cut them a tiny bit long just so I have some to work with in case it's too much. You can always cut some off but short wicks are just going to be a waste. For the RTAs like Blaze/Dead Rabbit 3 etc, I try to get it at a length I won't have a bunch just sitting in the base of the well. I hope that answers your questions. If not let me know and I'll try to clarify a bit more. Thanks for watching 👊

      @@Sorteal I'm about to buy some of that sliver 13ft and was wondering if you could clarify one thing for me 🙏🏻 how much width of the sliver do you use for a 3mm coil? The whole thing or like half, thirds?

    • @Sorteal
      @Sorteal  Рік тому

      @@MakeMuricaVapeAgain I cut a piece off then tare about a quarter or slightly more of it off to get a good 3mm strip. It's a bit of trial and error but a quarter off is a good place to start. Don't be afraid to roll it up some after taring the section off. I usually save my torn pieces and combined them for single coil wicks.

    Hey mate. What coils would you suggest getting in the UK for a single coil OXVA Arbiter 2 setup or a Fat rabbit 28mm RTA double coil setup? I am literally a beginner and can't find really informatitive tutorials about the coils and what coils to use.
    So can you please let me know what do I have to look for when I see the gauge numbers, does the wrap count make a big difference?
    Another question would be is that all the time I wick my coils I prime them and let them sit with the tank on for 15 minutes. I can vape for 1 hour or smth, doing breaks after every 5 puffs, and the cotton doesnt seem to absorb any more juice and I just keep getting dry hits. Any tips or advices?
    Great video mate, and thank you in advance for your answers.

      Starting out I'd say go 3mm inner diameter Alien coils. Both of those will fit 3mm aliens well without much hassle and the flavor will be very good. If you do some Googling you'll find all the information you could need about gauges and wraps. It's a bit much to go into here in a comment reply. Most alien coils I use are either 4 or 5 wrap coils at about 0.1 - 0.12 Ohms but depending on the gauges of the wires it is made with the resistance could be higher. For instance I also like some Alien coils that are 5 wrap 0.3 ohms or 0.15 ohms in dual coils setup so they're the same wraps as my favorite aliens that come out to 0.11 but since the gauges of wire used are thicker for the most part the resistance is higher. That is a very generic explanation but hopefully you get the general idea. Do some hunting and you'll find information on everything you could want to know about coils but at first I'd say use some 3mm inner diameter aliens that come out to about 0.3 ohms in single coil or 0.15 ohms in dual coil setup.
      As far as wicking, I find that cotton breaks in faster when you juice/fire/juice/fire for a while. The cotton also plays a big role. Some cotton takes a while to break in. If you're talking about pre-made coilheads they can take a while to break in depending on the brand. Geek Vape and Smok seem to take forever while Voopoo and Falcon break in much faster imo. I hope this helps at a little. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions and I can answer them a little more in detail and with links.

    I recently bought the dead rabbit v3 rta and wicked and rewicked until I found it was wicking like a champ. In my personal opinion you are using way too much cotton on rtas like the blaze. I even found that your wick ends don't even have to touch the bottom of the deck.
