Parisian Restaurant and Brick Bank are my two absolute favourites. Something about them feels just so right and none of the other modulars seem to have aced it as those two have.
I recently bought my first 2 Lego sets after 6 years, and decided to start a city. I bought the Assembly Square and the Bookshop. They look amazing together
If you think about it, bookshop is a complete copy from the petshop: 1 quarter of the build is what it’s named after, bookshop, and petshop. Upstairs from these shops, both have apartments. And the second house, both have a crawl space, and a little stairway leading up to the door. Both have this curving window thing, and the beds are both on the top floor. Idk what I think about bookshop rn😂
That’s a really good point. They are very much cut from the same cloth in terms of design. Thankfully, the book shop doesn’t cop out with incomplete rooms... but yeah, that’s a really good point
Cool! Your ranking is close to mine: 1. Assembly Square 2. Parisian Restaurant 3. Detective's Office 4. Brick Bank 5. Book Store 6. Palace Cinema 7. Downtown Diner 8. Grand Emporium 9. Corner Garage 10. Green Grocer 11. Pet Shop 12. Fire Brigade 13. Town Hall 14. Cafe Corner 15. Market Street (poor Market Street!)
Good arguments. I agree with most of your ranking. The Detective's office, Assembly Square, and Parisian restaurant are a shared first place. So good! I have to say I love the bookshop so much I got it twice though.
I just bought my first modular. I bought the bookshop, got in my car and regretted it right away. So I went back in to the Lego store and traded it for the Assembly Square. SO happy I did that, and now I can't wait to start building!
I have the top 4. Agree about the Parisian restaurant being the best. I skipped the diner; too out of place. The garage looks kind of homely to me. Bank didn’t wow me.
Good video, but I felt that you cut back to you talking to often. You should've showed the builds longer. I think the best example is at 15:16 when you show the Book Shop. You show it for about three seconds, and then cuts back to you talking about how "gorgeous the colors are" and that "the tree is to big". But all we see is your face! When I watched that part the first time I didn't remember the colors or any tree for that matter because you only showed it for three seconds. In my opinion the video would have been a lot better if you only showed the builds (and not yourself) when you were talking about them. I think that between 7:34 and 18:17 there is never a need to cut back to you talking, rather that it impairs the video when you do so. I hope you can take this criticism to your heart and improve. I wish you the best! Edit: I just watched one of your other reviews and it seems like you have improved over the months!
@@RyanSevelVlogs ok thanks! I only own assembly square and the build tired me out so I didn’t know if the other where like it. Thankfully it’s not! Thanks!
I really want to buy the bookshop, but I also want to buy the diner. I don’t know which one to get.. and I think the diner is retiring, correct me if I’m wrong
Jorge Breibat The diner will most likely retire first as it is older. I’d say get that now before it becomes exponentially more expensive on secondary markets.

Alright I’ll probably start next year we’re building our pool house also I have been rearranging my room a lot and until I’m done with that I might go start my own channel and I’ve been busy with school lately.
I already have the Detective's Office, the ones I want are the Diner, Police Station, and the book store, I would also like the assembly square but it's too pricey for me, honestly for my channel I like doing stop motions that take place in a New York esk style, so tall buildings that match the out of this world style of New York, Diner is very good for that but the police station works with it's brighter but slightly grim color, the book store is the only one available but is a more East Village style that's not what I'm looking for.
@@RyanSevelVlogs yah, I think I might also just order wall panel pieces cuz a tip for stop motions that are on a budget is to buy pieces on brick link to make an empty building if you're just using them as a background
@@RyanSevelVlogs I've though about that, I personally don't like green screen backgrounds or cgi in Stop motions, it usually doesn't blend well in my opinion, It works for the sky tho, I like using practical cuz you feel like it's part of that world
It's hard for me to rank them, I like them all; however, I own none of them, so I would rank the Corner Garage as #1 simply because it would be the easiest one for me to obtain. All of these sets are wonderful in their own ways and I find all of them to be quite aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for this video!
The worst is the police station, I'm furious thay did that shit without a car and the side buildings are ridiculosly slim, biggest let down ever. The market street is so good, it's the blue print of the modular building, I couldn't afford to buy it because it was off production so I bought the pieces here and there on bricklink and I made also one by myself as a dutch coffeshop with the interiors invented by me, therefore I've got two models of that set in my town. I like very much The fire brigade and The corner garage 10 out of 10 both instead I destroyed the cinema horrible modular. The top 3 crap modular is formed by The police station,The cinema palace, The diner just good for the interiors.
The Diner is my favorite, followed by the Assembly Square. The Cafe in Assembly Square is GLORIOUS!
EXCELLENT WORK.
Parisian Restaurant and Brick Bank are my two absolute favourites. Something about them feels just so right and none of the other modulars seem to have aced it as those two have.
The police station in my opinion is the best yet. It makes the city feel bigger by having three separate buildings in one
It is a darn good modular for sure!!
My first set that I got was assembly square and it’s one of my favourite also periasian restaurant and brick bank are my favourites.

I love the floor building segments of the build
You're very lucky to have all 2007-2021 Modular Buildings sets. As for me, I have all from 2013 to now.

your list is spot on, especially the top 5
Thanks haha!!
Great video. Parisian square really seems to be everyone's no. 1!
My favourite set of all the modulars followed by detectives office. Mixed facade modulars are the best.

How would you rank them now with the current 16? I'd love to hear that!
I update my ranking in the Police Station review video!!
Are all modulars like the assembly square where there isn’t many bags but the bags are huge?
From what I remember, usually they sub-divide levels into bags. So a modular might have 12-16 bags
