Hoping that the modular line does a hospital. Whenever Lego does a hospital it always feels too small to me, and usually lacking in an interior. I'm hoping that the modular line will bring in a full sized hospital with all kinds of great details, plus they've done a fire and police station so all that's left is the hospital.
Last week I found the detectives office and Parisian restaurant at our local antique mall. I was so excited. Everything was complete. $200 each plus the booth had 15% off so that was great too. I’ve been stalking his booth this last year because he occasionally puts out retired sets.
Shy, great compilation! This actually helps me think of what one I should get next. I didn't realize the cinema was still affordable and I'm still tip toeing on the corner garage. The bank is the one I really want but it's gone way up in value!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Grab as much as you can when you can... these will not get any cheaper as they get older. It’s cool... it’s only a few thousand dollars to drop.. jk lol.
MrSaurus - I got the corner garage recently like the rest of my city i'm yet to build it - but with the corner garage I got the tuning shop to bolt onto the side of that too chap... Yourself and Shy are among a handful of channels I watch for City updates 👍
@jdbrickcity here...so I'm somewhat surprised of a few like the Pet shop so low, and the police station so high. The depth on the right side is just such a killer to me. I'm glad you have the brick bank high and we were in the ballpark with most others. I like that you did the ratings like I did on my IG. Great video buddy and very descriptive. Def a lot of work put into this video.
After I was done with my rating.. I was surprise where a lot of the modulars ended up. haha. Glad you enjoyed it. I was waiting for your input the most from anyone.
Nice list. Based on your criteria for rankings, its hard to disagree :-) My personal ones just based on how I liked them. I totally agree the gas station is very underrated. The Town Hall is very nice but the build was kinda repetitive. 1. Café Corner 2. Grand Emporium 3. Detective's Office 4. Police station 5. Palace Cinema 6. Assembly Square 7. Green Grocer 8. Gas Station 9. Parisian Restaurant 10. Brick Bank
Cool video! The Corner Garage is from 2019 not 2012 like you stated. Since it's still available, if it did come out in 2012, it would be the "on the shelf" winner! Have a great day!
I say all the time that i only buy and collect starwars. Lego is too expensive to be able to do this and also buy other themes but the amount of passion people like urself and others in our community have for these often make feel like changing my mind. Thanks for all the info and ur opinions on these Shy. Great video once again. See u on the next one
Thank you as always. RIP our wallets. It's good that you're limiting yourself to a single theme... it will definitely save you in space... which is always a burden for us all.
I wish they had made another mini modular to go with the last 11. That Fire Brigade has all those brittle dark red parts. Better get them now. There are sealed copies of this set that if anybody ever builds later they are going to be in for disappointment
@@SHYTIMEismyTIME yes they do. Also forest green, navy blue and the brown that was all out at the same time. Something about the chemicals in the dye for those darker colors. I want ahsokas starfighter but i dont want to spend the cash for it and than it break when i build it
Really good analysis and breakdown of your fave modulars - Shy ... I have to confess the brick bank does look good the question is will it break the bank trying to get it for Legondon !
I need the best advice possible man. I just got back into LEGO after 35 years and looking to grab every single Modular as you have, but now it looks like its gonna really cost me a ton to get all of them starting with the Parisian Restaurant? If you have any better ideas other then paying the unreal prices it would be great, but I'm not looking to just buy bricks and make them, I want the actual sets, new and unopened if possible so that I get all the stickers and everything.,
Imagine if u lived in the uk where assembly square is £180 which is normally the price of $200 sets in us. Still haven't picked it up tho. Probably next in priority after Ninjago city gardens
I DON GOOFED - Corner Garage was released in 2019 not 2012, and the Town hall is
$200 bones! Sorry I read the wrong line on my excel sheet.
Yah I was wondering what you meant my brother is 8 and he got it
Do u script ur videos or just type out bullet points?
Mostly non-scripted... but with the information that read through here... I used the excel sheet.

This video will have a part 2 in the years to come. Great vid Shy!
thank you.. and most likely. Haha.
Despite owning none of the modular sets yet, my two favourites are the assembly square and the brick bank
that’d be cool if they made more 50s/60s style buildings
No it wouldn’t be stop suggesting it cuz they might do it
Yes!! I love the dinner
Do a lego tank battele

Great list... my personal favorite list did not match the one that I created based on criteria. it was a surprised actually. lol
lego would make bank if they started reprinting modulars

Chris Rozzoni damn did I really say that.. I must have read the wrong line on my excel sheet.
Nice video on ranking the sets shy
thank you!
Your welcome

I could see the sunset glare on your face
haha me too!
Now I know how I got the Parisian Restaurant. It was on the shelf for 6 YEARS!!! Also, Assembly square is also my favorite modular building.
Your collections is seriously so sick - I got back into LEGO when my son wanted to get some LEGO sets!
This just made me regret not getting any of these when I had the chance. :(
haha... you still can.. but for a hefty price.
City is looking sick! Got my first modular coming. Never good!
Thank you! You just found another rabbit hole that you won't get out of haha.
@@SHYTIMEismyTIME haha secretly I don’t mind thou.
What modular did you get?
@@linkalot7415 Police Station

I hate those dark red bricks. One of the biggest flaws about that set. And I never thought about that.. do those bricks just get worse over time?
@@SHYTIMEismyTIME yes they do. Also forest green, navy blue and the brown that was all out at the same time. Something about the chemicals in the dye for those darker colors. I want ahsokas starfighter but i dont want to spend the cash for it and than it break when i build it

What an amazing setup Shy. You really need to post more in depth vids on your city for us folks short on space. Really sweet!
Thank you! I will definitely make more city videos.
My dad and I just bought our modular set and we didn’t want to buy the wrong thing because of the price but I’m glad that we got the assembly sauare

Don't sleep on that set. With the current state of FOMO for Lego sets... might be hard to get that one before it retires.
@@SHYTIMEismyTIME can u please tell me what Fomo means??
Great video bro! 👍👍
Thank you! Feels good to know that we have them all haha.
is this gonna be a video done every couple of years
Probably... the lists won't change much.. but would have to wait a few before making a new one.
@@SHYTIMEismyTIME ok cool
your so underated
Lol thanks. Tell your friends to subscribe haha
@@SHYTIMEismyTIME yes
Are you going to buy the smokejumper minifig
Not sure. yet.
i could live without interiors in a couple of my buildings
my favorite is either palace cinema or the diner
Sadly 90% of the prices have all gone up on ebay since this came out :(
Thats LEGO now... sad to say.
Number 15 should be the corner garage. I’m not even getting it and I collect them.but there is no sense on buying something like that!
I only have the detectives office right now what one should I get next
i'm thinking assembly square
Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but Town Hall was not $149.99 when it came out. It was $199.99
Yea it has been. I read off the wrong line.
Are you entering the vietnam moc contest shy
From brickmania
No, I don't like to enter contests or giveaways by people or companies that I'm affiliated with. It wouldn't look good if I were to win.
Ah I see
I would like to pick up all of them but I'm not rich lol
haha my wallet continues to hurt.
i just don’t really like the corner garage i think it looks cool i just don’t care for it
Your wife must be mad every time you buy a LEGO set or brick mania set.
On the out side your a grown man. But the inside your a kid.
a little of what you both said... she gets mad...and is supportive of it...haha
Police station is horrible and Market street is awsome
