price of salt might be a reference to gen 19:26 when a woman gets turned into a pilar of salt for disobeying her family but ive always thought it was called the price of salt because its Therese’s coming of age like its salt in her character, the stuff that makes her interesting and fulfilled and the story of the novel is the price she had to pay to get that also carol lost basically everything (her daughter and house and even possibly Therese herself) just so she could have flavour in her life
As someone who was here for the pilot of hazbin hotel I was all over Vaggie and Charlie cause I assumed they’d have their own longer moments and arc but instead we got a song that they share (a reprise) with Charlie’s dad of all things! Then Vaggie’s dependency is overlooked and the message she receives is love harder? Okay… she’s already doing that! Let’s not get into the fact that they are the only relationship where the sexual attraction is sucked right out… many people conflate them for best friends (queer women included!) and that’s not exactly a good look.

Valid. I do want to read the ending as at least semi happyish

Honestly you're so right.
