@@annaconigliaro2907 That's weird to be honest. Why would you want to be interested in politics at 8? Also, not all kids want to watch something "educational" on TV that their parent is watching. It could be the news or an adult program. Those were young kids and shouldn't be exposed to that.
Could only be the parents using the language because they didn't interact with other adults. Nursery can be illiminated straight off, otherwise it wouldn't exist.
I wish they'd dive deeper into the parents' psychology. It just brushes the scope. The dad doesn't help with anything inside the house, not just kids. It's clear. I feel for parents that work all day and want to relax when they get home. I’m tired when I get home from work too. But, they made the decision to have 3 kids, and those kids still need discipline, love, and attention even after you get home from work. Stop having kids if you don’t want to devote all your free time to them.

I absolutely love and respect her saying she's young and inexperienced. I was 25 when my daughter was born and I was clueless as well. She had many behavior issues but I've spent the last year really working on me and keeping my word. She's now 8 and doing amazing 🙃
You can get your kid at forty, at the end we are all inexperienced with the first kid. And np ammount of schooling can get you prepared for the real life. And then when you think you know what is going on you realize that kid 2-3-4 are totally different and things that worked with #1 don't work with the others the same way.

Supernanny has to be one of the calmest people on earth.
Brandy really does present as an inexperienced mum, but she really pulled through. Jo really made sure that Brandy realized that her love is her strength, that her power is her love. Doug saying that he didn't miss the TV was wonderful to hear. I know that the embarrassment can be strong, but socializing their children would only get better. The embarrassment from the game is just another tool to encourage them. Their kids are little, and the parents have time to learn that their children need quality time. They really took to Jo's lessons, mistakes here and there, but they are learning! They really love their kids!
The dad needed to realize earlier that his kids are his priority and not his Tv time 😥

Well it’s really just how good you are with teaching kids.
Why didn't she confront the dad at all during the meeting? She just talked about the mum not spending time with them, but the dad actively ignored them trying to get his attention...
Because it’s toxic femininity and it was 2008, still an old fashioned time for many families
she directly confronted him about ignoring the kids and leaving their mom to do it all alone, then he improved.
She probably did, it just didn't make the show. I think she spends about two weeks and we only see snapshots
The counselor is scared of him. She tucks tail and addresses the easiest one to talk with; the mother. The mother is the squeaky wheel who needs the grease.

It can be hard especially when kids play up all the time and don't listen
@@madisonmaloney14 the kids don't listen because the parents don't listen, it's a perpetual learned behavior, the parents are meant to be an example of appropriate behavior.
I agree. My parents know pretty much everything about me. My favourite food. My interests. My hobbies. Things like that
I feel like both of the parents seem very self centered. The dad could have had the kids on the couch watching something they can learn from. I remember when I was eight and my dad started explaining politics to me. I mean really why can't he watch tv and help the kids
@@annaconigliaro2907 That's weird to be honest. Why would you want to be interested in politics at 8? Also, not all kids want to watch something "educational" on TV that their parent is watching. It could be the news or an adult program. Those were young kids and shouldn't be exposed to that.
"My break time to sit on the couch and not have to deal with life..." ...why do these people have children?
They created monsters, now they cannot handle them. If they hear those words in the home, they repeat it,
We cuss in our house but our daughter knows not to use those words. It circles back to discipline and communication which is what this family lacked.
@@faithizzlezz yea true my mom and dad swear all the time
@@annie128h same, but we know we are not allowed to use those words

Could only be the parents using the language because they didn't interact with other adults. Nursery can be illiminated straight off, otherwise it wouldn't exist.
Omg I wanted to hug the babysitter so bad when she broke down, you can tell she mentally/physically exhausted after all of that.
Oh I feel bad for Brandy... She's doing her best, she's just lost and confused. I'm sure they all turned out absolutely fine!
I wish they'd dive deeper into the parents' psychology. It just brushes the scope. The dad doesn't help with anything inside the house, not just kids. It's clear. She has to do the cooking, cleaning, bills, work, etc, and kids. Unfortunately, it led her to slack on discipline. What was their childhood like? What about their marriage and their guardians/parents' relationships with each other and others? Supernanny is magic literally stopping generational trauma in its tracks.
