Exquisite work. Truly one of a kind. The attention to detail is amazing. The colours you have chosen are a reflection of your vibrant personality and creativity. I really marvel the way you multi task. ...The paintings which you have done on the boxes itself must have been time consuming and must have required enormous patience, concentration and wonderful imagination. Even the way you packed the various consignments for despatch deserves high praise...a lot of love has gone into each stage of execution. Bravo lady! 🫡 Loved the sari gifted by your father to your mother and the soft sheen of the beautiful khaddar silk dhoti which once was worn by your Nana and now cherished by you. Sending you lots of love and hope to see many more of your fabulous creations. P.S. The boxes are traditional Kerala products. Similar boxes, graced almost every single sprawling mansion in Malabar called "Ettukettu" Most of these mansions have been torn down and given way to concrete monstrosities. The massive camphor or teak, brass- bound boxes were once used to stow away gossamer thin veshitis .(..mundu ...lungi worn by Kerala women till the 1950's.) made of mulmul....I think , so gauzy to the touch they were. Beautufully pressed with heavy brass iron boxes ( which were heated with burning coconut shells...) these veshtis were neatly placed in these boxes, and between their folds was tucked , the pine screw flower , both for it's fragrance and to keep pests away . So each time my grand aunt opened her massive teak chests ...her room would be filled with the beautiful, entrancing fragrance of the pine screw flower. There was something magical about those times. Beg your pardon for rambling on like this ...but your art work on the boxes took me to another age. Thank you Ma'am.
Firstly, I am so touched and amazed by the time you have taken to comment on my videos. It is such a rare quality- to care about something enough to take out time and express yourself in this way! I truly appreciate you for it .
