Sheffield Wednesday behind the scenes 37 years ago!

Back when I was Alan Partridge before he was invented, Televideo sent me to Hillsborough to interview all & sundry. This was the 1986-87 season amid a memorable era for Sheffield Wednesday under Howard Wilkinson. If you can put up with the presenter there might be something to enjoy here! Whether you were there or not!

Brilliant footage, takes me back to when we had a tour of the ground and the famous trophy cabinet in the late 80's. Brian Marwood was my avourite player at that time🦉💙

4 years after this vid the lads produced a magnificent performance winning the rumbelows cup at wembley beating man u. to add at least some silverware to that trophy room.

Crikey the atmosphere so much better then the kop gull of passion. n not blue empty seats which sadly is like that today, play off matches apart which are amazing generally, but league games dead
