    Hey man I’ve been trying to read the beach but my problem is the waves and cuts are constantly changing every second and not as consistent as I would think to be able to clearly identify the structure other than the sandbar.Where I think a hole is in one second the next wave goes right over it no problem lol.. any tips?

    • @SaltSquatch
      @SaltSquatch  4 роки тому +2

      Waves will sometimes still break over holes (especially if they are shallow) but with much less force then over a sandbar. Remember a breaking wave means there is something in the path of the wave. Find areas that don’t have big waves breaking over them (that’s deeper water!). If it’s still confusing, then focus on finding feeding zones, and you do this by casting your rods at various depths (shallow, half way out, and as far as you can cast). Once you find a “zone” they are feeding in, then move the other rods to that spot.

    Super great video! I have one question, as I mostly go out fishing at night, it is almost impossible to find the holes or the rip currents, maybe you have some tips for finding them at night?

    • @SaltSquatch
      @SaltSquatch  3 роки тому +1

      If you’re looking for the rip current at night, cast out a 1 oz pyramid. It will naturally drift towards the rip current.
      Or you can just cast out at varying distances and target areas where you are getting bites.

    How to read the surf on a glassy surface without any wind at 5:00am?

    • @FishGum

      Go the day before and check things out.

    • @SaltSquatch

      Check wind forecast before going. If it’s forecasted as flat it’s probably not gonna be a prime time for fishing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be successful. Zone Awareness is the best tactic for this scenario - ua-cam.com/video/SjyTluecVhw/v-deo.html

    We don't have fish, and it is prohibited anyway 9 months out of 12.
