This woman has one of the most powerful voices in music. I don’t understand why her fame was so short-lived with a voice like that. Unbelievable. I love her, always have.
Usually it seems we won't allow ourselves to have too much success without making ourselves pay a heavy toll for it. If she had went much farther it's possible she could have sabotaged herself severely. You see this out in the world. Michael Jackson, Layne Staley, Tiger Woods etc. It's probably better she stay where she's at and allow herself some health and happiness. We still love her.

I know right and I love Madonna but vocally Taylor bodies her every time. Outside of pop stars Taylor should have been marketed towards the r&b genre like Teena Marie. She would of been bigger than what she was. Because vocally she is a powerhouse

Probably my favorite title track from her. And don't forget, there was NO AUTO TUNE back then. These are awesome vocals you really don't see much nowadays.

Taylor's vocal abilities were so much more refined than we remember. Listen to these same people 30+ years later... so many of them stand the test of time with grace.
One of the many things I adore about the 80s scene was how much artists utilized their bands. Whether it was live or in music videos, it always felt real because you could see the connection between musicians and feel the instruments. Great vibe here
