Fun fact: General Custer had one of these
Thanks!
For all the good it did him lol
And then Crazy horse got one😁
He had a pair.
Nope. "2" of them :)
In my opinion, one of the coolest revolvers ever made. I'd love to have one in my collection.
There is something so "right" about the look of Webley revolvers.
They might not be 'all that,' but they have the classic British look.
I wonder how much better it performed when it was new. Several of the described issues sound like results of incredible age and frequent use.
She has a habit of making it sound like such things are endemic to the design.
@@gratefulguy4130 Yeah, the stiff ejector rod definitely sounds like a _wear and tear_ problem, not a _design_ problem. The squeaky cylinder is _definitely_ wear and tear.
Love the Webley revolvers - such a classic look
Good morning Mae, just sat down with my first cup of coffee and your video was there in front of me. Fully pumped for the day, Cheers and thanks, keep bring them out.
Stop trying to get into her pants...!!
One of the things about the movie Silverado i loved so much was John Cleece as a sheriff, Brit accent and all, and he used a Webley revolver.
It was actually the Enfield Mark 2, the official British military sidearms from 1880-87. The sheriff probably had to special order the .476 Eley ammunition for it.
Really expected it to have a little more muzzle flip but with such a grip angle. But one wonders if that factors into their cartridge design like a complete package of ergonomics and end use.
Excellent for when you need a "Sherlock Holmes" cosplay.
Or a Dr Watson
@@chpet1655I think Watson used an Adams, Sherlock used this Webley
@@matthewwyman1581 right you are !
Some claim this is the model the fictional Dr. Watson was issued in the English Army, and kept after his terms of service expired.
He was discharged after injury. Hence the walking stick.
I actually have one of these. Nice to see Mae shooting it. I have never shot mine.
Is the grip an issue for you? Poor Mae looked a bit uncomfortable with it!
@@MartinMcAvoy No, but I have never fired mine.
I had one.The grip was fine.

Excellent Work Mae 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Looks about and comfortable and stable to hold as a slimy trout.
Mae, its me!
Still my favorite Brit revolver. Beautifuckiful.
I'm glad you didn't get a bad finger pinch on it. That DA release can get you! Yes, great idea for the gun but it like needed an ergonomic overhaul.
No smile just an “I’m done shooting this gun” expression
"Big bore wheel gat" lmao
Good show old chap!
love your vidios :)
For some reason, the sight of a Webley always makes me want to break out into "God Save the King."
... Maybe I should learn the words.
Mae solving a case on baker Street.
I'd love to see one of these videos on something like the Colt 1872
You can almost smell the Empire...alas, I lament for times past.
Given a choice between this and the Chamelot Delvigne... I'd be hard-pressed to choose. the '73 had the benefit of perhaps being more durable and easier cartridge ejection while the RIC has a far more potent cartridge. Other than that, they both seem relatively serviceable and easy to use (might be controversial but I'd choose either of the two over the SAA).
Looks like President James Garfield is going to like this one
Whoever designed that must have had too many warm ales!
Sherlock Holmes ass gun
Find someone who will look at you like Mae looks down the sights.
👍👍👍
I love C&R and Mae but can never get how she holds revolver grips so low in her hand. Lots of the complaints she'd have I don't think I would. But who knows, very subjective
Honestly, I sort of agree with that statement. It should be obvious that grips weren't "tailored" for specific hands of specific people. What works for some doesn't work for others. (A good example would be those whose hands fit well with the SAA, but struggle with the grips of the 1875 Remington and vice-versa)
Mae has such beautiful eyes...🙊😍

I forget, did you cover the Webley Bulldog and all its knock offs in this series? I have been looking at reloading the .442 and it just seems like such a garbage round.
What a cool little Webley!! You always get to have all the fun, Mae. 👍😊

What the heck is that signature

The bulldog from battlefield 1.
Seems like a very awkward single action.
